Actual rating : 4.5 stars very pleased with this one:) sooo I just want to thank my friend Stefanie here on goodreads for recommending this to me her recs are always hits every time:) OK let's get to the review

Characters: I loved Tessa I thought she was very responsible with her squad and that she was very admirable and well perfect she was queen bee but not mean she was so nice but not sickeningly sweet like a robot. She reminded me of Massie Block from The Clique but nice essentially. I love

Here is my one sentence review for The Naughty list: Espionage, lively cheerleaders, and very naughty boys... equal one debut that I found unputdownable!

What an excellent debut and an entertaining start to a new series!

Young’s depiction of a cheerleading squad turned cheater investigators was ingenious. I mean, who would think a group of cheerleaders would be the masterminds, behind a secret group taking down one cheater at a time! I never would have. And yet it totally worked.

Short and sweet, The Naughty List was an original and fun-filled read. Suzanne Young has a writing style that pulls you in and she can see right into the heads of teenagers. The characters were all believable and Tessa was an awesome main character. I loved her alternatives for cursing like “Ginger Snaps!” or “Cap N Crunch!”, they made me laugh out loud at times. There were quite a few times when I was laughing while reading The Naughty List, but my favorite parts were during the missions.

This was a great read! Unexpectedly touching and sweet, I really ended up feeling for Tessa as she tried so hard to be perky, shiny and full of pep, in the face of circumstances that might have harshed the mellow of a lesser spirit. When this started out, it was kind of a combo of Legally Blonde and Bring It On, with a private detective, cheater catching overlay. Even Tessa's name "Crimson") seems like it's out of a Clue game, she's a bit of a cheer/spy stereotype. But as the story goes on, Tess ...more

Brilliant premise, mediocre execution.

For a huge part of this book, I kept repeating to myself,"Am I going to finish this book? Am I really?" But I did, albeit I feel like yawning into the next century and then some. Perseverance, people.

The MC could get really annoying sometimes but she didn't really bother me, besides always pestering everyone to not cuss. WHY? It's their business. I don't mind if she doesn't cuss, but berating people she's known for one day? SERIOUSLY? Personally, that wou

Flirty and fun, The Naughty List is an entertaining read but holds plenty of drama and emotion. Young does an incredible job blending the various aspects of this book, investing the reader in the plot line early on. From the start, the reader is smoothly eased into the set up, falling into a well paced plot and wanting to know how things will play out.

Tess is a very lively character, full of pep and unique euphemisms. Though she’s head cheerleader and certainly has her vanity and ditz type of mo

The Naughty List is just as cute and adorable as the cover it has proving it to be a series that you should definitely be keeping an eye on.

Tessa, along with the rest of SOS, was a blast to read about. Since, for one, I admired how they would put themselves in jeopardy just because they wanted to make one girl's live easier by finding out if her boyfriend was a keeper or a loser. Further more, each had distinctive personality that made them easy to distinguish from the others.

I’ll be the first to admit that I was petrified to read this book. I do not sit well with overly cute summaries. Just something about them gives me goosebumps and kicks up the gag reflexives. But partially into the book I was found giggling in a little corner with this sweetie.

The Naughty List is a perfect read when down in the dumps. It took a few chapters in before I found myself enjoying this book. This book is energetic, fast paced after the first few chapters, sexy (in the not overly so), a

I wanted to like this book. The idea of spying cheerleaders was cute and for the most part the language was squeaky clean. The major problem I had with this book is it makes it seem like everyone in high school has sex. I read a lot of YA books and I am by no means a prude when it comes to books for teens, but I feel like this was an unrealistic portrayal of high school students. For cleaner spy-girl action check out Ally Carter's books.

What do cheerleaders do after dark?

Hook up with their secret society of spies and chase down cheating boyfriends, of course. What were YOU thinking?

This book is hands down one of the funniest things I've ever read. The main character has a fantastic and highly original voice and the plot is fast-paced and fun! A must-read--over and over again!

The Naughty List is one of the best chick-lit books I have ever read. It was the perfect mix of romance, spying, and cheerleading. Once I started it, I could not put it down. It was just too cute.

She and her fellow cheerleaders investigate suspected cheaters for the girls of their school. The sad thing is, every boy they have investigated has been found guilty. Are th

I liked how Tessa was a cheerleader with a secret, like all the other cheerleaders she is a SOS member. I really enjoyed that the SOS group where the main part of the book and the plot was based around the SOS and the cheerleaders involvement within the school.

The Naughty List is really what young adult fiction is all about, just simple fun with some meaning but not too deep or too shallow - it's just right and leaves you feeling good when you finish it. After reading a lot of books full of meaning and dealing with heavy subjects, it was very refreshing to read The Naughty List.

Centering around cheerleader friends who make up the Smitten Kittens, not only are they cheerleaders, but they are also girls undercover who find out whether your boyfriend is

Meet the Smitten Kittens. Sounds kind of sexy, huh? Alluring in that mysterious way. If you knew what they were doing, though, sexy wouldn’t even come into it. In fact, the Smitten Kittens are all about busting cheating boyfriends from doing the sexy with people other than their other half. The male adolescent population of Washington High is more than a little naughty, it seems.

You may never think about cheerleaders in the same way after reading Suzanne Young’s debut novel “The Naughty List.” She flips nearly every cheerleader stereotype on its head in her tale of a cheerleading-squad-turned-secret-society-to-catch-cheating-boyfriends. Rather than rely on the overdone image of a cheerleader as a ditsy blonde backbiter, Young paints a refreshing, nuanced and hilarious portrait of Tessa, the head cheerleader and head spy. The story seriously matches the cover: so cute!

The Smitten Kittens are the very definition of girl (grrrrrl?) power. There was the perfect blend of sophisticated and silly. Each girl we heard from had an unexpected depth; they weren’t just perky little cheerleaders. Tessa is at once likable and fierce. She is definitely the kind of girl I would want to be friends with.

Suzanne Young's debut novel was so unbelievably fun! I loved the entire premise and the characters and dialogue had me laughing aloud! THE NAUGHTY LIST has prompted me to make sure I always have room on my bookshelf for Young's novels.

The most noteable aspect of Young's novel is the creative language. Tessa, the main character, doesn't curse, but uses substitute words and phrases. I too use substitutes for swearing, so I found Tessa's practice entertaining - and I picked up a few more phrases to

The Naughty List by debut author Suzanne Young is sure to be a hit! With characters that most readers will enjoy and a plot that never lets you down, this book is certainly entertaining.

While reading TNL, I became quite fond of SOS members Tessa, Kira, and Leona. Each character had a distinct personality and brought something new and creative to the table. What I liked most about the girls was that all three had depth. Rather than being perfect, perky cheerleaders, each was battling her own conf

Head cheerleader Tessa, along with the SOS or Society of Smitten Kittens, spends her days keeping things peppy at high school and her nights catching cheating boyfriends. Through an anonymous cell phone and top-secret correspondence, the SOS receives cheater reports and then susses out truth and proof by going on daring missions and employing spy tactics. When Tessa's boyfriend Aiden shows up on the list after the transfer of a meddlesome, attractive brother-and-sister pair, Tessa begins to lose ...more

Do not be fooled by the pink cover. The Naughty List by Suzanne Young definitely ran the gamut of emotions, as ninja-Cheerleader-spy Tessa comes to suspect her too-perfect boyfriend Aiden of cheating. Basically the high school that Tessa goes to is a breeding ground for douchebags, as a large amount of relationships end because one person cheats on the other. Tessa and her cheerleader friends decide to combat this trend by starting a secret society known as SOS. What SOS does is investigate susp ...more
