Honestly best book of the series. It was great to watch everyone grow up and make changes for themselves I really wish there could of been after books following massie in her life because she is by far my favorite character. So I guess thanks Lisi for spending your time making these amazing books and clique was the best series I have read so far.

OMG! Or, actually, EH-MAH-GAWD! Anyways, NOOOOOO!!!!!! It's the last book in the series! I really liked reading this! Even though it's soooo not extra high reading level like the books I like to read sometimes, but I like this book! Boo....

This review not only contains spoilers to this book, but for the entire series. I'm also going to assume, if you are reading this, that you've read the previous thirteen books as well.
These books got really big when I was in about fifth grade. This series went from "The Clique? Nope, haven't heard of it." to "Oh my god, are you seeing the movie?!?!?!?" in like, a month. I never had much interest in the series (not that I was exactly a book snob) so I didn't even bother reading the back of one of...more

What a sad last clique novel ! :( I can't believe this is the end! I will miss Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen (okay and Claire :p) but most of all I found it sad to see that such a great series has finally come to an end! I will miss all the insults Massie said, all the amazing and lovely clothes she wore ( i still wish i have some of them to wear ;) and i ll miss Alicia always trying to become an Alpha instead of a Beta , and Dylan BUURRRPPPPPINNNGGG her way into everything and not being afraid...more
Okay, okay, I know by the title ALONE this sounds like a cheap thrill, and that's exactly what it is....
or is it?
The whole Clique series was my escapist literature, filled with the petty antics of preteen girls, and makes me thankful everyday that I am no longer at that age, yet at the same time makes me miss it. Harrison makes the dialogue shallow and yet poignant, something that makes the books that much more interesting and entertaining. The whole series revolves around fashionista Massie and...more

I've been a fan of the Clique since I picked up the starter to the series a few months ago at the library. I was hooked immediately. I was actually dreading this book: the end of one of the greatest series of all time! I read it anyways and I admit, I wasn't too happy with Lisi Harrison in the beginning. I know that many other Clique fans can agree with me here. Why couldn't she have wrote more books? Why couldn't she have changed what happened? Why, why, why? But then I realized it made the sto...more
The clique...where to begin. It's all about clothes and boys and shopping. Don't get me wrong I totally HART it and everything but seriously, these girls don't act like 7/8th graders at ALL. Not even the really mature and rich girls that I know act like this. It's INSANE. Why aren't these girls just in high school? Nate then their jokes wouldn't have been "Kuh-Laire are the letter J?" "No." "Then why are you so pre-k?" Pre-school. Preschool jokes. Massi: sense of humor is the only one I actually...more
So.
I admit, The Clique is chick lit. It's petty and shallow, all revolving around girls who have way too much money and spend all their time chasing boys and shopping.
However, Lisi is a good writer, and she manages to pull this series through. You can clearly see the characters changing, and it's amazing how it's all due to one character, Claire. Out of all of them, I, like many others, prefer Massie. Yes, she is a teen-bitch, someone who has too much money and too little common sense. But, she...more

The Clique series was amazing. It gave us a glimpse on what it must be like to be a queen bee, or to be accidentally taken under the queen bee's wing.
Now, the final book, A Tale of Two Pretties, finally lets us find out The Outcome of Massie, Dylan, Alicia, Kristen, and Claire.
Lisi Harrison, the author, excellently portrays to us what The Pretty Committee will face. Whether Massie will leave, or not. Whether Alicia will (un)willingly stage her takeover. Whether Dylan will reveal the secret she's...more

I didn't know this was the last book of the series until I read the author's note. I found that disappointing, since I was hoping it would be like Toy Story where the characters grow up with you, so to speak.
I liked the ending, though I think the next book would have been soooo much more ah-mazing than the others if it continued from the ending point.
I think in the end, my favorite Clique Girl was Massie. She always tried so hard to fix everything and everyone, never gave up on what she wanted...more

In the beginning of this book Massie's father lost his job and Massie was middle-class for a while. She kept the secret from and suffered weeks if no shopping, eating good food, or having stong heat in her house. While Massie was middle-class, all her friends were doing their own business and didn't have time to hang out with her. Her dad finally gets a new job and they are rich again but, he announces that they have to movie to London. When she breaks the news to her friends, they were extremel...more

I have loved reading the series over the course of the past years. I really felt a connection to these characters. I got the final book from the library and sat down and read the entire thing in less than three hours. I honestly began to cry towards the end when Massie was talking to the rest of the PC about what they taught her. Although I'm sad to see the series be over, I thought the ending was perfect. My only complaint is that I felt as though there were still some loose ends. In These boot...more
I took a break from the Clique books for a while, and then I went to the book store and saw this one and realized it was the last one. And I was kind of sad because I've been reading these books since elementary school (I am now in high school). Even though the characters were kind of shallow and snobby and mean at times, and even though some of the books were kind of lame, I will still miss this series because I grew up with it. And it was one of my favorite series of books. And now it's over....more
Where do I being h the with these books. Well.... first off lets strat with the plot, the plot starts out fresh and inviting but by the of end these 14 books smelling like rotiing fish. The plot is over use and under done its the same stuiped thing again and again. When there fianlly something new it ends up doing nothing to the plot to add any depth. Let us go on to thepeople in the story.... of that is about as mcuh as you get out them all the are are spolied brats. and as my finally statment...more

A Tale Of Two Pretties, the grand finale of the Clique series and Lisi Harrison's ehma-ah-mazing masterpiece!
Secrets, secrets and more secrets. Nobody wants Massie to leave, including herself. At the end of this whole book The PC teaches you, that you can't hold onto the past, there's always a time in your life when you have to make a big change. Another lifelong lesson is that, what goes up, must come down; Massie can't have the glory of and Alpha forever. This book really changes your point of...more

Well, I dont exactly know how to write but I'm certain that I'm happy with the way Lisi Harrison ended the PC. It was actully sort of touching in away and had a great ending. I felt like the book was just dragging on and on. The middle and beginning were just dull and I only really started to get intrested in what was up with the clique in the last 60 pages or so. Over all a good book and a great way to end the PC and the series. It reminds me why I read these shallow books, because of the heart...more
I thought a Tale of Two Pretties was the best of all the Clique series book. I loved it because you saw a snotty and bratty group of girls change and up up finding a true friendship. They start releying on eachother for things and they realize money isn't everything and clothing. I picked the series the Clique because it gave you a perspective on how bullys think. I still understand how people can makepeople feel bad but I learned from these books that even bullies have feelings and instead of t...more

So sad! I cried a lot reading this. I literally grew up reading these. It sounds silly, but I started reading the first one in 5th grade when Massie, Kristen, Dylan, Alicia and Claire all seemed like these AMAZING people. I looked up to them. But as I grew up...they didn't and they just seemed like little kids to me. However, I loyally kept reading until the end of the series. I finished this in two days, and I wish it had taken me longer. I will truly, honestly, with everything in me, miss read...more
I have so many strong emotions about this book right now. I just can't believe it's over; I mean I practically grew up with the clique. I first started reading the books back when I saw my older sister reading them (back in 4th grade? 5th? I'm not sure), and now here I am, at 16, reading the very last one.
This book was amazing. Really. It was so great seeing each character's growth, especially Massie's. Comparing the first book to this one, you can see a considerable difference.

What to say about my girl Massie.. I freakin love her! I thought this was a really good way to end the series. I kind of wish Massie had chosen differently but I also really really hope Lisi Harrison does something with Massie going in the direction she is. I of course love Alicia too and the rest of the girls are good too. I love the fashion, as always. I thought this one was the most mature of all the books, as it was supposed to be I think, and it was definitely realistic of how things would...more

This was probably the best book in the series, given the plot was a little foolish (but it always is) and a little boring at spots. But it was enjoyable to read as it was the end of the series. I really liked the last line about the perfect memory, because it shows that even if they were silly and fought and did a lot of stupid things, they really were friends. The epilogue was good because it shows us that life goes on, and though we won't reading about the Pretty Committee's adventures and mis...more
