Great book for elementary students! It asks good questions and answers them using correct terminology. There are cartoon drawings as well as paintings from the time period. I am going to buy it for my classroom!

Recommends it for: older children and parents reading with them
Our girls have enjoyed bringing home many different nonfiction books from their elementary school library. The titles are interesting and the narratives, illustrations and photographs, and overall layout of the books makes them just beg to be read. The fact that many of the books have information presented on just one or two pages per topic limits the amount of detail, so the books are not boring, and children (and the adults reading with them) are bound to learn.

We've enjoyed reading the books

A fun read for students covering the Middle Ages or who just enjoy learning about knights, castles, and a way of life so different than what they are accustomed to. The layout is done very well with every other page containing a question, answer and brief explanation alongside lovely illustrations or photographs.
