Not the best book ever, but definitely does its job explaining the what an earthquake is and conveying the fear that the pandas had. This one is a fictional telling of the real-life event in which Xixi, a giant panda, escaped from a panda reserve when a 7.9 earthquake hit northern China in 2008. This might be one useful for helping younger kids understand (a bit) of what happened in Japan.
