I've read this book when I was about 18 years old, and for that time, I'd gave it 5 stars. It was coherent with my cultural interests: satanism, black metal, sub-cultures and stuff like that (like a lot of other teens, I thought it was very cool). The book revealed works of Austin Osman Spare to me. (By the way, am I the only one who imagined fictional death metal band Dogs of Thor as Amon Amarth?) It is written very light and with good humour. And even now I read it laughing badly.
