I really thought this book would end with Darina waking up with a massive headache and no memory of the Beautiful Dead, just fond memories of her time with Phoenix. That would have allowed her to move on... Now he'll always be there? Really, why would you want to do that to someone with their whole life in front of them. So I have read the others before this and felt that they were really good. But from the first book I had a theory about who killed Phoenix, and yes I was right. Now the problem might have been that I have read too many crime/ detective/ murder mysteries so can pick up on the cues as to the culprit, or that too much information was given away throughout the books, which would explain why this one was more of a filler, of Darina and Phoenix's relationship rather than his disappearing act at the en More...

This is book 4 in the ‘beautiful dead’ series by Eden Maguire.
Darina has almost convinced herself that she imagined the Beautiful Dead, and that Phoenix is never coming back. Phoenix is returning though, with just days before the anniversary of his death, and the day by which Darina must have solved his murder.

The solution to the grand mystery was quite predictable. I will not tell it here, but i think at some point of the book sooner than later you will be able to guess it. Jeg havde store forventninger til denne 4. og sidste bog i serie om De smukke Engle. Specielt efter nr 3, som jeg syntes var den bedste af bøgerne hidtil. Jeg blev desværre meget skuffet. Během předešlých tří dílů jsem si na Darinu a její povahu poměrně zvykla, takže mě už ani tak nevyváděla z míry ani nevytáčela. Sice si neustále protiřečila (v jedné chvílí říká Phoenixovi, že mu musí pomoct aby se mohl dostat dál a za chvíli ho přemlouvá, aby jí neopouštěl a utekl s ní. Logika? Pro Darinu ani ano). En unos días se cumple el aniversario de la muerte de Phoenix y Darina esta confusa. Realmente no sabe si las Almas Elegidas existen o ha sido producto de su imaginación, por el dolor que le causo la muerte de Phoenix y sus amigos. i first read jonas when it first came out a few years ago and loved it but like so many others at that age when i read itm i put it back in my wardobe and let it get covered with the new latest books i had gone out and purchased but when i found it again, i thought ah well its probably a but young for me now...me being 15... but i felt i needed to re read the book and prehaps read the other three remaining ones just to say i have and so i More...

Musím priznať, že si posledná časť série o Krásnych mŕtvych udržala svoju stálu úroveň. Štýl písania autorky je mi sympatický. Autorka sa však snažila možno až príliš často dať čitateľovi podozrivých. Keď sa konečne autorka rozhodla, kto to bude, koniec bol naozaj skvelý.
4-krát opakovať ten istý úvod a takisto cestovanie časom na vyriešenie vraždy mi neučarovalo. Autorka predsa len mohla byť trochu kreatívnejšia. Ak prehliadnem pár nepriaznivých detailov, kniha sa mi veľmi páčila.

I have to admit this book was what I was looking forward to. The entire series I've been waiting for Darina to be able to solve Phoenix's death. The idea that someone you love could play such an intricate part in whether you could pass on or being eternally stuck in limbo is one that I wouldn't have thought of.

I don't blame Darina for being so anti Beautiful Dead. I wonder if she thinks if she ignores the upcoming anniversary of Phoenix's death, if she just won't have to deal with it. I think t More...

When I first began reading The Beautiful Dead series I wasn’t sure these books would turn out to be a series I ‘liked’. Bezprostredne po dočítaní knihy sa cítim emociálne vyčerpaná. Nielen preto, že som plakala na každej piatej strane, ale aj kvôli "neporiadne ukončenému koncu" - takéto konce nenávidím, a samozrejme svoje zohrala aj Darinina hlúpa-naivná-viera a Hunterove plieskanie krídlami i koniec, čo ma nakoniec nijako nezasiahol, lebo na ďalšie emócie som nemala energiu.

Páni... Ani nevím, co k poslednímu dílu říct. Tak nějak jsem tušila, že to takhle dopadne. Darinu jsem prakticky celé tři díly ignorovala, protože všichni Krásní mrtví byli dohromady třikrát lepší než hlavní protagonistka. V posledním díle to ale Darina dovedla do dokonalosti - pořád fňukala a snažila se vymyslet, jak to s Phoenixem udělat. Protiřečila si a místama jsem jí chtěla prostě odstřelit. I honestly do not know why I was so determined to stick with this series until the end. The initial concept was very interesting and I was intrigued, but the writing is less than fantastic. This book ended predictably and I wasn't at all surprised, but what can you expect when the whole damn series has been leading up to this inevitable conclusion? This is the final book in the 4-book Beautiful Dead series. I tore through it in a few hours, hating every page knowing that this was the end. This one is as good as all the others and it's guaranteed to make you cry, a lot! I loved this entire series, from start to finish.

I couldnt wait to find ou what happened to phoenix, and so i stayed up till 11pm on a school night to finish it. I then found i had to go to the bathroom for a tissue.Overall a good read although i don't think it's the best one out of the series.My faveourtie is Arizona's story.

Beautiful dead is great series.
If you have ever loved or lost someone, you would understand the story the book gives out. Not only does it cpture the feelings of Darina, but it makes us, the readers, feel how she's feeling when she lost phoenix.
I loved this book, and it really is a tear breaker.
It is a 'must' to read!

Maybe I anticipated too much, before from the beginning I wanted to know what will happen with Phoenix. I wasn't what I expected, some parts returned from the other books and some things I just didn't quite chatch. But nevertheless a story full of goosebumps moments.

I found myself stalling to get through this book being that is the last in the series. I loved every minute of it, and the ending was one that I had vaguely supected in the first book, but still ended up surprising me in the end.

I loved the suspense in this edition. The twisting suspense keeps you reading to find out what Darina finds out next, and if Phoenix and Darina will find away to be together in the end or will he have to move on without Darina.
