Addressing themes of courage, curiosity, adventure, daring, and good triumphing over bad, this compilation contains the first seven books of the Tashi series in one great big volume. He's brave. He's bold. He's the best! Tashi is too cunning for the warlord and the wicked baron and far too clever for giants, ghosts, witches, and demons. Best of all, Tashi tells the most fa...more

My seven-year-old, who has read all 400 pages of this book twice in two days, says:

"Tashi is a book for boys and girls, and it's kind of a fairy tale. It has fairy-tale creatures and not-fairy-tale creatures in the same book. I love how there's the big actual story, which is this little elf man called Tashi comes to a new country after he's been sold to this really mean warlord by his parents for some reason, and then Tashi meets Jack, his new friend, and this Jack has his own ...more

I read this book ages ago and it kinda bored me. I felt like all the same things were happening every single time and that annoyed me but all in all it was an ok read. Something different to read. I gave this book a try cause I've read a couple of Anna Fienberg's books and absolutely loved them so I decided I would read it. Some of Tashi's adventures standed out more than others like the giants tale. I know 2 stars isn't much but that's the most I can give a book like this.

Really like this book. My daughter i read this together when she was young.....and had alot of laughs. If you like reading tall tales, or telling them, you will get a kick out of this. You end up wishing you had a freind just like Tashi.

This book -- more than any other -- has kept my four year old glued to his seat at story time and he always wants MORE when we're done. Cute stories and lovely illustrations on every page make this one a winner.

This book is for a bit younger audience than what I usually read and I am afraid it was a bit too simplistic for me. It is good-hearted, but I like more nuance.

Okay...I know it's a baby book. But it was the first book I read when I came to RCHK, and....IT. WAS. GOOD. LOL :P

While my boys really like this book(s), I don't so much. The stories aren't as original as I had hoped. I do like that there are nice illustrations on every page. My boys appreciate the exciting adventures on every page. Overall, I thought, "Ryan and I could write better adventure stories than these!"

Will and I read these during Noah's naps. Will loves them, and there are tons of illustrations - which is perfect for a 5 year old.

They are really fun stories about a very inventive little boy.

Perfect for children between the ages of 6-11. This collection of cute and quick fantasy stories is bound to get kids of a young age to start reading, much as it did for me.

Anna Fienberg grew up in a house filled with books. Her mother was a teacher librarian who relished stories as much as chocolates. 'On Sunday mornings we'd all lie in bed with our books, lost in magical wardrobes, witches’ spells, genies’ magic… What we were going to read next was just as important in our family as what was for lunch!' says Anna.
