The reason I gave this book 5 stars is it offers a unique look into the paranormal that I have never ran across in other books to this degree. Dr. Nichols describes cases that point to mental illness and hallucinations in addition to the true paranormal events. This insight is fascinating to experience through his trained professional eyes. He also has an interesting take on the RSPK view. I don't personally agree with him on what he leans on as his main theory, but he admits he is open to other ...more

Its a shame that this book wasn't better edited. The missing punctuation and grammatical errors really, really take away from the actual stories Dr. Nichols is trying to tell. Also, I think the writing could have used a good wordsmith to help Dr. Nichols get his thoughts and memories onto paper. Some of the stories seem to be a bit rambling and scenes are written a couple of times. It just takes away from the really interesting subject matter as well as Dr. Nichols explanation of what he believe ...more
