I really enjoyed this one. I was actually was a little nervous to read this one when I read that our main character Cassie poses as a courtesan in order to get to the bottom of a family mystery. The hero is just too full of himself, expecting ladies to fall at his feet. She is supposedly a respectable young lady without a woman's influence but that does not excuse her masquerading as a cyprian. I can't stand it when the heroine is allegedly so smart and then does the stupidest actions, which require her to be rescued by the hero. Just too convenient. Ugh.

I am a fan of Debra Raleigh's Regencies, but this one falls short. Obviously, Ms. Raleigh learned a lot about her craft over the years. The Regency period is not accurately portrayed in this one and the characters lack depth of development.
