This cookbook is a good example of what's wrong with many low carb cookbooks. First, the recipes in this cookbook are uninspired. Many are for dishes that have been around forever (Sherried Beef Broth, anyone?) and this cookbook provides no new take on them, nor does using a slow cooker to prepare them add anything. Another mainstream cookbook for a people with no other restrictions than low carbs. Interesting story of the author who developed carbohydrates intolerance and had to switch to low carb diet.

Recipes are not particularly fast - common, some use processed food, some tomatoes, dairy, yolk, but you can use them without salt as author does.

Like most of cookbooks, it's oriented on delighting your guests and family, not on the most efficient use of your time, efforts and money.
