We are to expect the coming of Christ at any time, but we are to work as if He were not to come for a thousand years. ~ Billy Graham, Storm Warning, p. 192

The book examines the Book of Revelation. Billy Graham shares his insight into the interpretation of this great book. He examines the 4 horsemen that are coming to the earth. The judgments of God upon the earth. Billy Graham explains that God allows these judgments, so that we will realize our need of God and repent and turn to Him.

I picked this book up at a thrift shop along with Approaching Hoofbeats. I read both books and didn't care for them. Granted this is essentially a reprint and an update from Approaching hoofbeats. The theme behind the two books is good and needs to be told. However I think it should have just been an updated version of approaching hoofbeats. The way this appears to be marketed is just to make more money. Furthermore it would have been nice and gone back and covered some of the events in the last ...more
I received this book as a first read from booksneeze. I am one to read a book in a couple of days. I love nothing more than curling into my favorite seat and devouring a book. That being said, this was not one to "devour". This is one that i had to do as a study. I really enjoyed it, as it made me really think about things. At first i struggled because I would like to finish it, but found that I enjoyed it more as I pondered and "studied" the insight the Billy Graham has for us. It was a wake up ...more

Revised and updated with forward written by Franklin Graham, Storm Warning by Billy Graham speaks to the growing anxiety among many Christians and unbelievers alike by contrasting Biblical accounts of ‘Storms’ to our current culture.

One thing I can truly say about the Graham family is this – each member whether it be Ruth, Anne, Franklin, or Billy – you do not leave an encounter with any of them without hearing the salvation message.

I cannot think of another leader and his family that is so focu

Whether viewed on television, read in contemporary headlines or heard over the radio, we live in unusual times. From national and global political unrest, to famines, wars and rumors of wars, to killer earth quakes, tsunamis and floods of biblical proportions. Such events prompt many to ask, what is going on?

Published by Thomas Nelson

One of the most famed Christian evangelist’s of all time, Billy Graham, explores the book of Revelation and its correlation to events past and present. Graham examines John’s visions of Armageddon and provides commentary on the warnings, signs and ultimate hope this book reveals to mankind.

The pages of Storm Warning are overflowing with life experience and rich with scripture. There is no denying the wisdom in Grahams words or the wealth of
I grew up in the church, in fact, my sisters and I joke that our first stop after the hospital was not home but our family church. Truth is that we didn't realize that our childhood was unusual until we moved to Italy and found out that everyone does not attend church 5 or 6 days out of the week. Seriously, it wasn't until then that I found out that children don't have birthday parties in the church basement. That's where we always had ours.

As a child, two of the tenets of our belief system that

When I was 12 years old I went with my Sunday School class to Greenville , SC to see Billy Graham preach. I can still feel the goose bumps I got as he preached. It was a memorable service for me. I have been to church camps near his home and have read most of his and his wife Ruth's books. He speaks and writes straight and in a way everyone can understand. His book Storm Warning helped me understand the book of Revelations. Each time I had read it before I would be so confused. He takes the scri

I just finished reading Strom Warning by Billy Graham. I received this book from Book sneeze to review.
After reading this book, I found it very biblical, spiritual and definitely an eye opener. Billy Graham explains the four horsemen from the book Revaluations. This book being related by the Christian life gives you insights and overviews about the world we live in today, with all the natural disasters, economic crisis, terrorism and conflicts. This book is not only for people who believe in Go

Storm Warning by Billy Graham, is newly revised and updated from the original edition which was written in 1992 and published in June 1995. It also includes a new foreword by Billy Graham’s son, Franklin Graham.

Storm Warning focuses on the anxiety and fear that has been sweeping our nation for many years and how the headlines (past and present) line up with Biblical prophecies. Graham talks about the state of our nation and world, the current recession, terrorist activities, natural disasters a
Today headlines scream to us about various destructive actions of nature (earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, etc.), the banging for angry drums between countries, worry over the stock market and monetary systems around the world, and so many other negative things that impact our lives that it is hard to find something positive in our day. "Storm Warning" helps explain what is going on in relation to what the Bible has to say. Rev. Graham points out that first, man needs to accept salvation throug ...more

Wheter you are interested in Bible prophecy or just an avid reader of Billy Graham's work, I believe you will find what you are looking for in Storm Warnings. This book was first written in 1992 and revised and updated in lieu of today world happenings and republished in 2010.
Whenever any disaster would befall our world my mother would always reply, "it's just another sign of the times". Often I understood this but there was so much I did not. Billy Graham has taken todays world events and place
I recently received a copy of Storm Warning, a revised edition of Billy Graham’s book first published in 1992. In the last decade there has been headline after headline about earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding, terrorist attacks, war, poverty, and pandemic diseases. Evangelist Billy Graham seeks to quell the fears of the masses using scripture to answer the tough questions of “why?” that so many people ask in the midst of these anxious times. He specifically highlights the four horsemen of Revela ...more
The last page of this book claims my reading it was in vain if I didn't feel motivated to make Jesus a bigger part of my life. I disagree. I think it was entirely worth reading in order to understand and raise awareness of the sort of evil that is perpetuated by seemingly mild-mannered religious sorts.

Because that's how evangelists like Billy Graham get you. They pretend to be gentle, kind folk. They do 'good deeds'. Then they pounce with the evangelism. (My mother received this book from a neig

The revised edition of Storm Warning that Thomas Nelson published this year reminds me of a panoramic mural by one of the impressionist masters. Portrayed in vivid colors, the book of Revelations provides the background. The middle ground displays in bold strokes the connectivity of our present global conditions to the prophecy in Revelations. It reveals our responsibility as God's people to prepare ourselves, our families, and our communities for the difficult times ahead. Front and center in t ...more

An absolutely fascinating book! This book was originally written by Billy Graham in 1992 and then revised in 2010 after the 9/22 tragedy. What is remarkable is that all the things discussed in this book are problems our world faces today, only a little worse. Billy Graham writes about Revelations, the last book in the bible, the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and what each one is responsible for and how Satan rules our world today. Scripture from the Bible is used to back up what he discusses. The ...more

Very disturbing but not because of the end times content...this IS very disturbing, but rather because of his condemnation of those who are deceived by the evil one. To him THEY are the sinners deserving of judgement!! No mention of judgement towards those who deceived them such as wall street bankers, politicians who fail Jesus' commands to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, as well as heads of corporations that rob their workers of their fair wages so that CEOs can reap bil ...more

Very reassuring

This book explains the role of angels according to scripture. I found it very reassuring to read about how involved the holy angels are in God's plan for our lives. The book is extremely well written and easy to understand. I highly recommend it.
I read Approaching Hoofbeats just prior to reading Storm Warning. Much of the information in Hoofbeats was also in Storm Warning. The major difference I saw was that the author was more optimistic in Hoofbeats than in Storm Warning. I always enjoy his writings and crusades.
American Christians leading lives of relative luxury have taken their eyes off the prize. Why focus on the glory of eternity with Christ when life on earth is comfortable enough? It’s safe to say that believers in Cuba, Iran, Tibet, and other nations hostile to Christianity don’t need a book like this. Their sufferings are severe and daily, their only hope the promise of eternity with God. On the other hand, Americans do need this book. We need to remember that while we enjoy the blessings of co ...more

Billy Graham has written a sound warning to us aligning with the prophecy found in the book of Revelation. As much as the world has changed in his life time, and how we continue to change in pursuit of self interest and moral decay, he provides scriptural accounts to affirm his belief that we could now be on the edge of the Second Coming. His writing for this book is centered around the four horsemen mentioned in the sixth chapter of Revelation:

1. Rider on the White Horse (promise peace; but dec

There's nothing better than reading the words of Billy Graham. Tunisia wonderful book. Thank you Mr Graham for writing it.

Scripture based on angels.

Billy Graham is a great evangelist and shows his knowledge of the Bible and what it says about the role of angels past, present, and future.

So far I am enjoying this. Most books on Revelation are so sensational and rely mostly on the author's personal beliefs backed by questionable theological and biblical evidence (worse, they attempt to guilt you into accenting to their view of they were given the revelation themselves or something). I find it encouraging and challenging so far.

I loved everything about this book and I just love Billy Graham! One hundred percent truth and backs up all that is said about angels and what they do with scripture! So reassuring of my faith and excitement for what angels do for us and I have no doubt they are watching over us! This book I would read over and over again :)
What a great read. Billy takes us through Revelation to show us how things today are showing us that we had better get our houses in order. Well researched and timely, he updated a book he had written in the 90's to show changes of today. Highly recommended for thos who believe in the End Times or those who are skeptics.
This is the updated version, originally released in 1992 and re-released in Feb 2010. I'm amazed that Mr. Graham is still working and preaching in his nintys. I am glad and grateful that I am alive and able to remember so much of his ministry, especially since I grew up in NC too.

I thought this book was an excellent source with regard to what God's Word says about the end times. If you are interested in making sense of the signs in the world around you, and how they relate to the end times, you would enjoy this book.

I am always looking for good books to reinforce my believing of the bible. Book made me think and understand. Angels are colorful, do not sing, they do not have an earthly figure, they guide you and protect you.
