Today I bring you my review of Kathy Buckworth's latest parenting book. If you haven't read anything by her before, I suggest you get off this blog RIGHT NOW and go find something she has written, you will not regret it. I first found out about her while watching Breakfast TV while on maternity leave and after her segment (Ok - I finished watching my adorable Frankie first) I rushed out and bought her Blackberry Diaries book that day. I consider her, to coin my sisters phrase, a "Real Mom" and ...more

I wasn't too into it for the first few chapters, but I found it a surprisingly fun read later on (this might be because I was reading it during an incredibly tedious statistics class, though...)

I don't have kids but I found this to be a funny book.

At the beginning of the chapters, she quotes wisdom from the 1950s and then interprets it for today. I would have been a lousy wife back then!

Fun parenting techniques to get your kids to eat along with recipes with a great piece advice ... keep a bottle of wine handy.

I really liked her previous two books that I had read. I found them very funny and did laugh out loud while I was reading them.

This book only had one brief section that I found funny. I did not think it was written very well and it did not engage me. I did finish it but only because I kept hoping that the humour would return. Unfortunately it did not.

For the past 30 years all that my mom has been serving the family is leftovers; the original dish is yet to be found.....

Kathy Buckworth is the "Mom" version of Jen Lancaster. So far the humor is very similar but the focus is her kids.

A fun food book from a Canadian comedienne about trying to feed her family. Lots of good anecdotes, some good recipes sprinkled in.
