Emily Bascom’s debut for Mills & Boon Historical is an engaging 18th century adventure with plenty of adventure and romance to recommend it to readers. The story is set in 1741, and begins with the Irish heroine attempting to flee London and return to her homeland. Unfortunately, a robber gets in the way, and she must use her wits to save her life.
