I wanted to try and fit one more book in this year, I haven’t quite made the extended challenge, but I got close!
This was another Christmas present, and the patterns in here are lovely. Again, these are very easy to read and follow, and the tutorials are good too. It doesn’t ahve the character that Domiknitrix has, but then it is a different book altogether!
I haven’t really ever done any crochet, so I’m looking forward to having a go at some of these patterns and seeing how I get on.

Gifted : Lovely little things to knit + crochet - the contents are well-presented. Most of the items are knitted, some are crocheted, many are felted. There are a number of projects that require sewing (stitches illustrated in the back) and fabric, as well. There are also recipes, such as ginger syrup and Mexican hot chocolate mix, and other items that can be gifted along with the decorative items you've made.

This book had projects for everyone. From felting, to regular knitting and crochet, this book has many different styles to inspire you.
Gifted is based on the premise of small, quick gift items and I can think of no other book for some fast holiday knitting or crocheting. The Felted Heart Milagros project on the cover is one of my favorites! The instructions are easy to understand for an intermediate knitter such as myself.

I was disappointed with this book - there were only four projects that I thought were really cool. It seemed a little gimmicky - like the felted heart pin cushion is nearly the same felted heart project; same with the double point needle case versus the scissor case. I will say that the tea cozy looks super cute!
