I give this volume a high rating, because...the showdown with Lance was just amazing for the series up to this point. (But, of course, the series becomes MUCH more amazing later on!) This Lance is a bit more psycho than the actual game and anime versions...with a hatred of humans that could surprass any monsters. His goal is admirable (to make a world just for Pokemon), from a certain standpoint...but humans can't let another human destroy them, so Yellow's actions are predictable--although all...more

Such a great and surprising end to this part of the series :) It changed my view on characters that I've known since I was at least 7 years old. I can't wait to read the next ark in the series: Pokemon Gold and Silver :D
