Two fun stories focusing on the animals in Cinderella and Belle. The Cinderella story tells about the mice being taken out of the palace after the housekeeper objects to them. The kind gardener makes sure they have a happy and warm new home in the stable until cinders can find them. The belle story tells of her finding a lost wet puppy and balancing the playtime with the ottoman - who is the castle dog under the enchantment.

The story was cute, but it didn't have too much to it. The story did teach that the good guy always wins and the mean or "evil" character looses. It also taught that if you help those in need you will be rewarded which is another great lesson for students to learn. The story was very short though and I'm not sure how it could fit with a lesson, but a great read aloud just for fun.

Charlie's response to the end of the Cinderella story was that the mice would still see the housekeeper whenever they went to the kitchen to get cheese.

This is a fun story about Belle bringing a puppy into the castle. Girls just love these Disney princess stories. Good for ages 2nd grade and below. It also has another book attached on the back Cinderella and the Lost Mice where the gardener catches the mice and Cinderella has to find them.
My daughter was given this book on Sunday and she LOVES it. And I think the stories in it are really cute. Plus, its two books in one - which can be better for mom who has to read and re-read the books in our collection.
