A nice textbook on Western Civilization (up until 1740). Depth in some places, a bit of glossing-over in others (but necessarily so). I enjoyed it, and didn't end up selling this one back. Carry it in my car in case I end up having to wait someplace; a great pick-up-and-read-a-bit book to have around. It is kind of heavy for a paperback, though!
