Love is the journey of a lifetime.

Chris Tucker is a cultured and sophisticated gentleman. Matt Gallagher is a pierced and tattooed wild child. Not exactly the pair you'd expect to become a couple. But the sparks fly between them from the moment they meet, and the fire never goes out.

Through the first rush of attraction to falling in love, through jealousy and sexual expe

One star only - yes, it was that bad. It was all about sexsexsex and sugary sweet, cavities inducing emotions. Let me explain...

Character A: we have a problem.
Character B: no, we don't because I love you.
Character A: you are right, we don't have any problems, let's f**k.

Yes, that's exactly how the whole book went - three lines of plot, two pages of sex. Voyeurism, sex toys, threesomes, sex in public places, you name it, the book has got it. In abundance. It's all fine when it's a short story

This book did take you through Matt and Chris' relationship from the beginning and beyond. I was a little worried at first because they progressed so quickly into loving each other but the evolution of their love had me loving the two of them together. I just wanted to be their friend:) Matt and Chris were very likeable and you got to know the two of them throughout this book. There was no big breakups and make ups, just a few areas of strife but not enough to even acknowledge. The two were in l ...more

A sweet, romantic love story. Chris and Matt are a great combination and I enjoyed watching them make a life together. The story was structured like several short stories put together, maybe that's how it started out?

Ally Blue has free follow-up short story, Hard Candy that's available on the Samhellion's webpage.

I don’t have a problem with insta-love normally, especially after the two pretty heavy series I just finished back to back I needed something light hearted. This one was a bit, I’m not even sure how to explain. They meet & hook up for drinks on the same day & then fall into bed. Two mths after meeting they tell each other they love each other & three mths later they get a place & move in together (plus we are only on chapter like 5). And they are doing it bareback with no discuss ...more
For an author I’ve liked in the past this was a strange read. More a series of vignettes or short stories about the same characters than a straightforward novel, this story hits the highlights of our main characters lives. Still I felt it lacking in character development, especially the development of their feelings for each other.

Chris Tucker is an exemplary chef. He’s spent the last ten years working his way up to head chef and then making his kitchen one of the best in town. He is structured
Re-read 5/15/14 for Re-Romaning the Faves Challenge: I still really enjoyed this book, but I did find the dialogue and how perfect everything was for the MCs to be a bit cheesey this time around, so I'm changing to 4.5 stars.

Originally Read 7/15/11: I absolutely loved this book. It was a little weird that there were different sections and each had some minor conflicts between the main characters instead of one storyline that built to some major conflict, but I liked the style. It was different a

Okay, so I know I'm biased in my reviews of Ally Blue's books mainly because I have yet to find a book of hers I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. So when I started reading Love's Evolution I went into it knowing I'd likely enjoy it.

Summary: Love is the journey of a lifetime. Chris Tucker is a cultured and sophisticated gentleman. Matt Gallagher is a pierced and tattooed wild child. Not exactly the pair you¿d expect to become a couple. But the sparks fly between them from the moment they meet, and th
Chris was late for work and he hated being late. He had over slept a hour, which made him late for the dentist. After he left the dentist he had a flat tire, changing it left grease streaks on his clothes. He went back home to change and the traffic sucked.
Finally parking at the restaurant he checks his watch ,ten minutes late. Locking the car door and walking away he hears someone say "hey". He keeps walking trying to ignore it. The person calls out to him again "hey suit guy".

Ally Blue's latest novel follows the relationship of Chris Tucker, executive chef, and Matt Gallagher, tattoo artist. This is the "evolution" of a relationship from first meeting to commitment. Unfortunately, that relationship has every cliché known to man. The men encounter every proverbial roadblock along the way, from simple arguments to jealousy and life-threatening-injury.

However, this is a romance. The sex scenes are plentiful and hot, especially when the guys start experimenting. And kudo

- The book shows both ups and downs in the characters’ relationship. Mostly ups, of course, and it doesn’t dwell on the downs--the disagreements and misfortunes are resolved quickly--but the low times help to show the strength of the relationship in a way that seeing only the good times wouldn’t do.
- The sex, once they realize they’re in love with each other, is hot, espe

This wasn't really one book, but more like a series of shorts. Each short had its own arc, and together they show the relationship of Chris and Matt, starting with how they first met and ending about three years later. It is, as the title suggestion, the evolution of love. It was very sweet.

Since this isn't one cohesive book, there is no real plot or conflict. It's more like real life; you get little windows into pieces of their life together. Some of the stories have real conflict in them and s

This is the story about Matt and Chris, who are one of those opposites-attracts couples that romance books are so full of. It follows them from their first meeting, where they almost instantly fall in lust, and then very quickly in love, through the following 3 years. It's not like a continuous flow, more like we get to peek in at their realtionship from time to time.

I don't know why, but I just didn't feel their love for each other. They kept saying how much they loved each other - over and ove

This is a lovely romance by Ms Blue. The story centers on Chris, a chef, and Matt, a master tattoo artist. It starts out as your typical 'opposites attract story, and then turns into an interesting look at how the couple's relationship evolves. The characters are likable and interesting, with different things they each bring to the relationship. Without spoiling the end, I'll just say that the last few chapters seem unnecessary, as they just add a few more sex scenes without really telling you a ...more

Lois - Who Reads
The story of Chris and Matt is not really a novel, as much as it a series of short stories about the same characters. They meet on the street one morning as Chris is late to work and in his hurry drops his wallet, which is picked up by Matt and returned. They are instantly smitten with each other and agree to go for drinks later that evening. Their evening consists of some drinks, some sex, and an insta-love as they look into each others eyes (and I am really developing a dislike of the plot dev ...more

Light reading.
From the blurb I was expecting this story to span twenty or thirty years, but it only covers about four. It is more a collection of short stories than a novel, which works to show how the relationship grows and 'evolves' over that time. The highs and lows are gentle and of the 'everyday' variety - no evil villains or high-speed chases here. The age gap between Chris and Matt isn’t apparent until the second half of the book, when Chris starts worrying about grey hairs, by which time

Nice series of short stories about the same couple showing snippets of their lives over a few years. Sweet fluff with lots of sex. It's what I call brain candy; a little sugary, over in quick bites, a nice filler but not substantial. A good story to read on a day when one's focus is shot or when feeling lazy etc...

This was a average read for me. There was a great deal of sex a little bit of kink towards the end but not a lot of substance. For me I wasn't real thrilled with the format were we basically get little snippets from the Matt and Chris's life together. Each scene is a few chapter like when they met, when they fight about their age difference, when they have a threesome, when they marry, ect. For me formats such as this are jarring and pull me out of the story. I do like the story itself focusing ...more

I liked it and everything it was sweet but it was also like urmm...where is the plot? nothing happened, aren't books suppose to have drama, bit of conflict bit of a dilema, this had none, yeh they had tiny little fights with never really went anywhere the type of fights a six year old would have.

So yeah just even the smallest of plots would have helped but the characters were good it just would have been better to have put them somewhere and given them a story.

So yeh if you're after a plot pass

Loved this book yet again! Again, not sure why this book is such a favorite of mine but it is. I love the connection between Matt and Chris from the start and that never fades, they are too very different people (tattoo artist vs. older head chef at fancy restaurant) yet they are always accepting of each other, neither tries to make the other conform to the others way of life. IMO the author does a great job of making you feel the love, connection and intensity between the two characters. Love t ...more

Lots and lots and lots of smexing in this one. Don't get me wrong, it was lovely, dirty smexing, there was just a lot of it. This is a story that takes place over several years so even though they start hot and heavy right at the beginning, we do get to see them through some ups and downs. Nothing overly angsty or heartbreaking. Well, a little heartbreaking but it all works out so I'm a happy camper. The wording seemed a bit off in parts to me. Kind of awkward with the "my sweet" and "darlings". ...more

If you're looking for sex... M/M or even M/M/M then this book is for you. Two guys meet. Instant attraction. Sex. Love. Lots of sex. Marriage. More sex. The End.

I was disappointed. I read Graceland written by this author & FIVE STARS easily. And, it really was not my usual type of read but I refused to put that book down until the very last punctuation. What's so ironic is that Graceland dealt with an evolution of love as well. *shrug* So, I really wasn't expecting to be so let down with Lov
Ok m/m romance about two guys who meet and feel a deep connection with each other. The book is a series of short stories about their relationship over the course of several years. I wasn't a fan of the book's structure, and I found one character's constant use of "my darling" and "my love" to be cloying and annoying.

There is a free short story available "Hard Candy" that follows after this one, before the next book in the series. I found it on

I never really felt like I got to know the characters or why they fell in love--just that they did. I guess this was really more erotica about two guys in a relationship than a romance. For me, it was a real disappointment after The Happy Onion, which I really enjoyed.
Chris and Matt meet.
Fall in love.
And triumph over obstacles, some of their own making.
They demonstrate the epitome of what life is like in modern times.

A story of love, devotion and growing into a deeply, committed relationship.

Beautifully written.

“Hey, suit guy!" The man bellowed.

Chris bit back the urge to yell. He turned, expecting to be confronted by a hand held out for money. What he saw was a pair of enormous eyes, the same color as the spring sky, set in a face with high cheekbones and a delicate chiseled jaw. The man's short, spiked hair was dyed a vibrant purple, making his creamy pale skin glow. Letting his gaze shift downward in a sudden still silence, Chris took in the sleek, sculpted muscles under the snug green t-shirt, the faded jeans molded to slim hips and thighs.

He'd never in his life's seen anyone so beautiful.”
“He kept one eye on Matt as he talked. He could tell Matt was close to orgasm by the way he title his head to the side and bit his lower lip.

"And what about your partner, Mr. Tucker?" Troy asked. Chris raised his eyebrows in surprise and Mr. Waters gave him a greasy, unpleasant smile. "Does your partner cook?"

Chris grinned as Matt came all over the red leather seat. "Actually, he makes a delicious white sauce.”
