I won this book from Goodread's First Reads program.

I was pretty excited about getting this book. I love movies that involve government organizations or spies. If I could bundle my love of Jason Bourne style intrigue and action with an in depth relationship I would be one happy camper. Who could pass that up? Too bad that spies are a lot more boring in book version...

This is going to be a really hard review for me to write. It will probably end up being a lot shorter than my other ones too. It's...more

The thrilling A-Tac series centers on an elite CIA Black Ops unit of men and women with different areas of expertise (communications, extraction, munitions, computer hacking) who use their positions as faculty at an Ivy League university for cover while secretly fighting terrorism and taking on the government’s most clandestine, dangerous missions.

The series began with a bang in Dark Deceptions as the team’s second in command Nash Brennon raced to thwart an assassinat...more
OK, here’s the thing. I haven’t really had any books that have done this to me. This book made me feel apathetic. I didn’t care if I finished it or not. It’s not because it was a horrible book, it wasn’t bad at all. It wasn’t good either. It was simply OK. But then, OK is just not good enough. Why? Take a look at the plot – this had the potential to be an excellent, intense, edge of my seat type of read.

Tyler is a member of the A-TAC team, a CIA unit that works on covert missions. While on a mi...more

Desperate Deeds is the third book in Dee Davis's A-Tac series and I thoroughly enjoyed. The questions that have been haunting me since book one (Dark Deceptions) are answered yet it leaves it open enough in the end that there may be more A-Tac books to come in the future. I am not quite ready to leave the fascinating world of A-Tac and I am hoping there will be a spin-off set in the same world (surely Avery deserves his own story).

In Desperate, we get to know more about Tyler Hanson, a demolitio...more

This is the 3rd book in the series. There were so many twists and turns in this book . It is about Tyler and Owen. I loved Tyler from the previous book and I was not disappointed. Tyler is one touch chick. I loved that was never beat around the bush kinda person. She laid it all out there whether you liked it or not. Tyler is so damn smart and such a risk taker. Seriously loyal to her friends and family, keeps emotions in check always. Owen ,oh you naughty boy! I was kinda mad at him through som...more

This is by far one of the best romance novels I have ever read. I wouldn't really call this a romance novel though. There were only 3 bedroom scenes. Even though I didn't read the books in order I did understand this book.

Dee Davis uses great descriptions. The plot is really good. Someone steals some weapons from the British government and is trying to frame Tyler in the process. First the thief uses Tyler's scarf to lure her. The culprit goes way too far. He kills Tyler's stepmother and father....more

If your looking at this book to read and havent read the first 2 books I recommend doing that first.. This book for the most part wraps up an on going story arc that started in the first book. Dee Davis has created characters that you come to love through out all 3 books. There are more books to come that will have the story of other characters we met in these 3 books. I for one am looking forward to Tucker Flynn story. This was my first time reading this author and I can say after buying and re...more
To be honest I'm writing this review with there being a pretty large span between reading it and now, but I still remember it as if I read it yesterday. This series just keeps getting better for me. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and how Strong Tyler was. The only thing that broke my heart was the ending and who it came down to as the villain. Even though I know it had to work the way it did and it made for one amazing story.

This was a steamy, heart pumping thrill ride that...more

Another great story from the A-Tac team, made even better for having an English Hero. Only downfall for me was that I couldn't warm up to the female lead. No surprise there, though.
Desperate Deeds is the third book in the A-TAC series by Dee Davis and a Romantic Suspense from Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing.

From My Blog...[return][return]Dee Davis does it once again with her third A-Tac suspense novel Desperate Deeds. Having read and reviewed the two previous novels in the series, Dark Deceptions and Dangerous Desires, I would say Davis has outdone herself with Desperate Deeds. Each A-Tac novel can easily stand alone, however, once one is read, the reader will want to read the others, they truly are that good. Davis brilliantly masters the genre of suspense and adds in her own twist of romance in s...more

I really liked this one. There was so much going on it kept me turning the pages. Right of the bat the story gets going and it doesn't really slow down.

I liked Tyler, she was tough (very tough) but she was also still a woman and had a softer side to her. There were a few times when she would do something uncharacteristic and she would think to herself "There's the woman in me." I also liked Owen, I had a picture of Sean Connery as James Bond for him. I think that comes from the fact that Tyler...more

Dee Davis's A-Tac black-ops series continues in the 3rd and latest thrilling installment with Desperate Deeds. The best thing about this book is how it builds upon the characters from her prior books. Plus any of her books can easily be read by itself. These books are fast and suspenseful reads that are filled with realism, tension and high emotion. I just found out she will continue this exciting series and was delighted since...more

Dee Davis's The A-Tac Series has become a favorite. Any reader who loves military romantic suspense books will love this series. Although it is not critical to understand the development of the story line in Desperate Deeds (Book Three), interesting background information about the A-Tac team is presented in Book One, Dark Deceptions, and Book Two, Dangerous Desires. Book Three in the A-Tac series was just as good as the others. Suspenseful and exciting! Tyler almost dies in an ambush that she didn't see coming – and should have, while two other people do die. My Review:
In a Military Suspense novel, you know that there is going to be some suspense... Are our hero/heroine going to make it to their happily-ever-after alive? Who's the bad guy? Who else is going to die?

This book took the suspense part of the equation seriously. I think that the final body count of the good guys dead ended up being 7-3...*ack!* I lost track of how many times the heroine was attacked...I think that it was pretty much every day in the book. It all got to be a bit much- not t...more

Romantic Suspense

Desperate Deeds by Dee Davis is the 3rd book in the A-Tac series. Though it is part of a series it could easily be read as a stand alone. It is a very enjoyable read. The story is well written and interesting. It captures your interest from the first page. It is fast paced and filled with action, suspense and romance. The characters have depth and are well written, you can easily understand where they were...more
Tyler and Owen are the main characters in this book. Tyler works for A-Tac and she is transporting a detonator. The detonator was hi-jacked and the 2 men that were with the detonator were killed and Tyler was knocked out. Tyler and Owen are working together trying to locate the detonator and they knew that there was a mole in the A-Tac team that they had to find out who it was. This is the 3rd book in the A-Tac Series and the 2nd book that I have read by Dee Davis. This book can be read by itsel...more

This was my first romance suspense book I have ever read and absolutely am hooked if they are all like this book. This book is about a beautiful Tyler Hanson, that is on a conquest. Tyler is trying to find out why some people are out to kill her, and what it all means. On the way she meets a super dreamy guy named Owen. A sexy, British international that has a attraction to Miss Hanson. The thing with miss Tyler is that she never lets any man get close to her because she does not want to get hu...more
"Desperate Deeds" is the third book in the A-Tac Series. I have to say that I am impressed by Dee Davis's writing. I have read many series books from other authors and Dee Davis has pulled through to the top for me. I love the style in which she writes and the fact that every book I have read in the series has had wonderful details and great characters. All these books are written in a way that you can follow the series or read them as a stand alone either way these books are great. I felt that...more
Absolutely loved it! The plot was riveting & amazingly complex without losing the reader or logical sense. I was completely hooked & loved the various twists and turns. The characters are to die for and I fell in love with Owen and Tyler as they worked through their own problems while racing against time. Tyler is one tough chick but with a vulnerable side that must be expected with all of the things she deals with in the novel. Dee Davis also remains true to what you'd expect from a Bri...more
3.75 stars.

I found a lot more explaining' in this book than in the others, explaining of things that the operatives should have known, and so were explaining for my benefit. That's a pet peeve of mine.

That aside, I enjoyed the conclusion (I assume) to the series. The traitor is found out in this one. I thought that this entire group of CIA black ops was very trusting and seemed awfully naive. This was the book where that seemed really apparent to me. So I can't rate this as high as the others, e...more

Don't expect to do anything until you finish this book. I made that mistake and had to stay up late to finish it. I adored the first two in Dee Davis's A-Tac series and the third one is just spectacular. The female lead of Tyler shows you can be strong and still feminine which is an excellent role model for women of all ages. It also helps that she gets to kick butt and still be sexy. There is some wonderful sexual tension between her and Owen. I think these would make wonderful movies since the...more

Well, book two "Dangerous Desires" still stands as my favourite of the series, but this one "Desperate Deeds" was still an enjoyable installment. This time, Tyler is the heroine of the piece and she hooks up with Owen Wakefield, a James Bond-type from MI5, who turns out to be other than what he says he is. In my opinion, this one was more about the technology and in some ways, I felt the romance was pushed to the side. But, that being said, I still really enjoyed it and will continue with the se...more
