The story of accountant-come-artist Meriel who moves from England to Australia to escape an over-bearing mother and a narrow life, and widowed landscape gardener Ben. The first half of the book is truly dreadful as it recounts their separate lives, bouncing between both. The writing in this part is hurried, obvious and jolting. The story gets better, or smoother at least, when they meet and the separate story lines merge. I enjoyed the relationship development in this book

A romance novel set primarily in Australia. A quick read of a woman who desired to be an artist forced by her mother into accounting. After immigrating to Australia from England she strikes it rich and finds her dream house and man.
I would actually give this a 3.5 rating.
Predictable easy read, but fun.
