Dr. David Jeremiah very clearly lays out a tried and true plan for us of how we truly can in his book Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World. Dr. Jeremiah blankets us with rich biblical direction, encouragement, and inspiration as he walks us through ten specific ways to remain confident
Living with Confidence is living in Christ and what he has done. David Jeremiah is very conversational in his short book always bringing you back to Christ. He shares about how we can be compassionate during these difficult times. I liked on page 32 how he writes...Compassion is hard because it requires the inner disposition to go with others to the place where they are weak, vulnerable, lonely, and broken. We like to run from suffering. Jesus embraced suffering because it brought glory to the F ...more

This was a great book about how Christians should live in these negative and troubling times. There were so many good parts with Biblical foundations that it is hard to summarize it. But one part stood out in the book given the title was about how to live with confidence in these times. It was the part about the Strenuous Vs Sensual Christian. One is diligent and disciplined toward growing in their faith despite their feelings and the other isn't moved towards investing in their walk with God or ...more

Recommends it for: Christians and Non-Christians that are involved in worry.
I stumbled onto this book while visiting my local library, just moments after I decided to quit my job due to certain reasons. I read this book in less than 4 days, and really put me at ease. No matter what we are looking at in the world; unemployment, stress, fear in political decisions, Dr. Jeremiah's book focuses on what the Bible states about no stressing out so much that we lose faith that God is in charge and we are to be ready for Jesus's return and everything is in his hands.

Dr. David Jeremiah writes as he speaks, and that is very well.
Down to earth.
These are all descriptive of Dr. Jeremiah's writing in this book.
Dr. Jeremiah recognizes that we are in very troublesome times. He acknowledges our fears and concerns. He then takes the Bible and recommends that we embrace the truths that the Bible gives us about how to live in these times.
Among the things that Dr. Jeremiah teaches us are to: stay calm, stay compassionate, stay constru

Dr. Jeremiah reminds us that even during today’s uncertain, chaotic times, God has promised to always be here for us. We need to find comfort in trusting Him and His plan for us. He explains that we need to remain calm, compassionate, constructive, challenged, connected, centered, confident, consistent, committed, and convinced in our daily lives.

For each characteristic that he tells us to practice, he explains how and why through stories and lots of Scriptural quotations. Dr. Jeremiah uses the

I first read Dr Jeremiah's books because my Bible Study group at church was covering them. One of the ladies used to attend his church in California, had heard him speak many times, and recommended his books. We did the study for What in the World Is Going On? which I enjoyed, therefore I jumped at the chance to read and review the follow-up.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting the suggestions Dr Jeremiah gives as to how we should live with confidence in this time of social and economic upheaval.
Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World by Dr. David Jeremiah

Living with Confidence is a practical spiritual guide to thriving in turbulent times. Written with an eye on the current world conditions of economic disparity, job loss, and tragedy affecting the world today, Dr. Jeremiah guides you through Biblically sound principles of staying focused on things eternal while keeping God’s peace in your day to day life.

What a fantastic resource. There was so much written in the first chapter about

I have been trying to expand my horizons when it comes to religion. Reading books and learning about different religions from friends (no fights because I just listen). Moreover I have been trying to learn more about what is going on with the world. I blocked it out, denial, because the economy did not hit me yet. When it did, I now have an open ear. Basically I have been naive about both topics.

I have to say that I was really looking forward to reading this book, especially reading the back cov
The sixth book I was provided to review through the Book Sneeze program LIVING WITH CONFIDENCE IN A CHAOTIC WORLD by Dr. David Jeremiah. This book was not at all what I was expecting and, therefore, was very hard to get into and process. I am sure this is a great book for people interested in reading about "the end times" but I am not one of those people...

The chapters are each titled as a command or a direction to the reader: Stay Calm, Stay Confident, Stay Connected, etc. Those are all great t

Dr. David Jeremiah reminds Christians of the importance of being grounding in a thorough knowledge and application of the Bible.

This quick-paced book is divided into the following ten chapters:

1. Stay Calm
2. Stay Compassionate
3. Stay Constructive
4. Stay Challenged
5. Stay Connected
6. Stay Centered
7. Stay Confident
8. Stay Consistent
9. Stay Committed
10. Stay Convinced

If you follow Dr. Jeremiah's other ministries regularly, this book will not add a great deal of new insight. However, it is a concise

As a follow up to his best seller What In The World Is Going On?, Dr. David Jeremiah offers us more hope and encouragement in his newest book.

Living With Confidence In A Chaotic World gives us ten practical strategies on how to live, trust in God's Word and stay calm while we wait for the return of Christ.

Each of the ten strategies (stay calm, compassionate, constructive, challenged, connected, centered, confident, consistent, committed, convinced) are coupled with scriptures to solidify Dr. Jer
Read the actual book, not the "participant's guide" - only one listed. Anyhow, bottom line - immerse yourself in God & hang on. Never know what tomorrow will bring.

I read the real book - but like someone else said, this was the only one listed. This is a wonderful book and I was anxious to recommend it to you all!
Very good book that gives good advice on living in a morally decaying world. I will need to read it more than once to absorb its truths.
Fred Thompson
David Jeremiah discusses practical things Christians can do as we move closer to the realization of prophesied end-times.
I'm actually reading the BOOK -- not the participant's guide but the book is not listed here
Very informative & enlightning.
