Shelves: poetry
There are good poems in this anthology but it certainly is fanciful for the editor Neil Garcia to claim that all the poems here can only be comprehensible in the context of the country's violent history of colonization.

In fact, many of the poems in this anthology can pass as inspired by New Criticism and Romanticism which Garcia spends a lot of time criticizing in his lengthy introduction.

I would agree though if the book was entitled as an anthology of Philippine Post-Structuralist/ Formalist Po
