When I first picked up this book I was excited to know I was going to read something about hauntings. It’s one of my favorite topics and I have read many books from this genre. I’m sad to say this one let me down. The beginning of the genre is there, but it ends up reading very amateurish and non-believable, even for a haunting. From the very beginning it seemed wrong. The Haunting is the story about Ebram Casas-Treski, a 12-year-old boy in a new town, a new school. Being in the lowest grade in the school--and the new kid--he is forced to deal with all of the middle school drama, as well as the bullies.
