Heather Graham (Goodreads Author)
Reclusive collector Cutter Merlin is seldom seen in Key West—lately, not at all. Officer Liam Beckett visits Merlin's curious house and discovers the gentleman in his study. In his death grip: a volume of occult lore and a reliquary. His eyes are wide with fright, his mouth a horrified rictus where spiders now dwell. I'm hit-and-miss with Heather Graham, but I really liked this story. A great combination of history, mystery, ghosts and romance - what more could you ask for?
Cutter Merlin is the elderly, reclusive owner of a big old secluded house in Key West filled with the treasures he's been collecting his entire life - gargoyles, voodoo altars, lucky Chinese cats, statues of the virgin mary, and even a real Egyptian mummy. He lives there along following the tragic death of his daughter years before from a...more

first off, I love Heather Graham & the Bone Island Trilogy has been my favorite so far. This series takes place in Kew West Florida- I want to go so bad now- This is a paranormal romance, but most of her books are.
Liam Beckett is a grat police detective in Key West. He helped is cousin, David Beckett & friends solve other murders( the first & second books) & now its his turn to solve a murder(s) that is happening around the woman he loves.

Heather Graham’s novels seem so much like her: full of life, vibrant and a good friend. So it’s no surprise that Ghost Moon lives up to reader expectations of this prolific author. While I hadn’t read the previous two novels in this trilogy, I had no problem following its thread as Heather deftly weaves the tale bringing readers up to date as they fasten their seatbelts for a ride through the unusual.

Wow. I bought this book at the airport, and my first impression prompted me to look up the author information to figure out how this person ever got published. Author of "more than a hundred novels"? Yikes. To be honest, I never finished the book. I found it unreadable. There may be an interesting story in there somewhere, judging by the praise other reviews here have heaped on the thing, but I couldn't find it. All I found was a painfully juvenile writing style, lacking in sophistication and an...more
*This is a review of the entire Bone Island Trilogy*
I promised myself no more Heather Graham after last year's ultra-disappointing "Flynn Brothers" trilogy. But I caved, yet again. As always, the premise of the book sucked me in. I had no expectations and thought this might be something light to read while recovering from an illness. I was actually pleasantly surprised. "Ghost Shadow" is genuinely creepy, even if the killer is somewhat obvious. The second book in the trilogy, "Ghost Night" is th...more

A new series from Heather Graham finds this story set in Key West, Florida - one of my favorite 'haunts'! Graham obviously knows Key West and its 'conchs' and the city's storied history well. Here she ties in many factets of that history to create yet another of her paranormal dramas. This book takes a different twist that many of her other books - as you read it, remember that man -not ghosts - can also create evil.
By the way, if you get a chance to visit Key West, be sure to take the ghost to...more

First of all, I have been posting how close to certain that I was that I had flushed out the killer early on. Boy was I ever wrong! I had not predicted that the truly guilty party actually had any part in it whatsoever. I was pleased to find that Graham had thoroughly steered me wrong with all her clues and insight. I guarantee I went exactly where she wanted her readers to go.

The final in the trilogy and a nice wrap up to the story of several friends that have appeared throughout the trilogy.
I was a little disappointed that the previous 'main characters' in the first two books weren't involved a little more in the final book, but the story was still good.
There was still a lot of mystery and romance involved, and a touch of the paranormal sprinkled throughout the story.

Wow Great trilogy and you don't have to read them in order. Each can stand alone with no problem. I love a good ghost story. I don't really wnat to say to much and give anything away. but have to tell you that Bartholomew is a star. Read the book. Read all three and then if you have a e-reader or your computer, then download Bartholomew's story.
I really liked the way Ms. Graham gave the history of Key West. It makes me want to visit it even more. The stories about Key West are true.

Of the trilogy, I read this one first and like it best - I could imagine myself being there (though maybe reading about a gorgeous old house in Key West just REALLY got a hold of my brain during a crappy, depressing Ohio winter).
I recommend this book, especially to those looking for a place to go on your next vacation - that decision will be made by the Bone Island Trilogy....I'll be there this next Febrary ;-)

very interesting. this one follows Liam, who have a hard time believing in ghost, and his lost lady love, Kelesy, whose grandfather just past away. they both think something is the house is wrong and intend to find out. of course along the way, they fall in love with each other. it was a pretty good story line. and i love the ghost in the story. he helped everyone find their mate.
This book was given to me and I put in a pile to read eventually. I had no idea it was part of a trilogy, even though it was stated on the cover :) I liked the book and the strong female character. I also liked that until almost the very end I had no idea who killed the latest murder victim. A fast read, good for car rides, plane rides, suntanning, or proctoring the PSSAs :)
It's okay. I didn't read the first two, which may have made a huge difference. It did the job of giving me something not heavy to give me a break from the heavier reading material I have and also just to entertain and not really provoke thought. Interesting factoids about Key West and its locals, its pirate history, etc. Made me want to visit the Keys!
Book No. 3 of the Bone Island Trilogy - Kelsey Donovan returns to her grandfather's house when he is found dead to settle his estate and to catalog his collection of strange artifacts. She reunites with Liam who is now a detective as they both end up solving a past and current murder that occurred in the grandfather's "haunted House."
All right, I admit it: I really enjoyed this series. The paranormal aspects of the mysteries are good fun without being too over the top (ok, maybe the second book is over the top). This book in particular was a lot of fun. I thought I was so clever and had the culprit figured out: turns out, I fell for the red herring. So, good job Heather Graham for pulling one over on me.
Good ending to the Bone Island Trilogy. This was better than the second in the series which seemed to lack character depth. The main issue with this entire trilogy was repetative historical backround. However, the story line was good and the protagonists felt like friends. Including current events with the previous characters also added to its appeal. I felt a little cheated at the end, with just a brief mention of the engagement, and not the actual event. But the story line was wrapped up nicel...more

I liked this one so much better than the 2nd one. The romance seemed to make more sense to me. The plot seemed more realistic. Yes, I said a story that includes a ghost as one of the important characters, was more realistic. Even that the ghosts role seemed to be less in this story, made sense. Overall, I'm glad I decided to read this one. It felt like a tidy enough ending and worked with the overall trilogy.
This one wasn't quite as creepy as the first two in the series. Things took a more serious tone here, delving into Satanic rituals and whatnot. Although this one wasn't as creepy, I think I liked the romance between Liam and Kelsey best of the three. It was just too sweet, and made my sappy heart happy. Great series, especially for audio!
This wasn't the best series that Heather Graham has written, but was still enjoyable. This book was the best of the three (in my opinion), and I really liked Liam as a character. Was a bit annoying when the other characters would get annoyed at him for asking questions (like a cop should do). But all in all, its not bad.
I was surprised to find out this book was a romance, thinking it was just going to be a good old ghost mystery. But the good news is the "romance" part wasn't too heavy so that was OK. Since it took me 7 weeks to read it, it wasn't a "page turner" by any means. I did keep picking it up and reading because I wanted to find out "who did it". It was easy to read and could easily be read in a couple of days if you put forth any effort. A read on the beach book where it is easy to doze in between cha...more
