As the title suggests, von Bothmer's work explains how one's perspective of "the sixties" can be use for - or against - nearly any cause dujour. An interesting thought was the sixties were broken down into the "bad sixties", after JFK's assassination and the "good sixties", which ended in November 1963.
Moreso than with most Historical / Sociological phenomena, one's take on whether "the Sixties" were a positive or negative influence on what has followed is dependant on the individual's paradigm...more
