If you were a ghost haunting a castle and moat,

Rattling thick chains, making underpants float,

When you stopped all your moaning and screeching in fright,

How would you tell your phantom papa good night?

On Halloween night, creatures around the world tuck their little ones into bed. How do skeletons say goodnight? What about werewolves, mummies, or vampire ba

Recommends it for: Moms of kids 3+
Have you ever wondered how children all over the world say good night to their parents? And what about monsters all over the world? This book is a perfect mix of a funny goodnight story with a Halloween slant. As each of the monster mommies and daddies tuck their baby monsters into bed, there is a lovely rhyme and then we're told how the monster parents and kids express good night in their own lanugage. Werewolves yowwl, Black Lagoon Creatures Glub, Mummies speak in hierglyphics, Witches cackle, ...more

This is a fun tale about different monsters and other creatures saying goodnight to their parents. It has a rhyming, sing-song narrative and lots of colorful illustrations. It's not really that much about Halloween itself, but the creatures are certainly appropriate for the holiday. We also liked the different ways to say goodnight in other languages of the world, listed in the back. We enjoyed reading this book together - it's a great story for bedtime.

My second graders loved this book. It is fun to read because you get to see how different creatures tell their parents good night. It also tells you how to say good night in different languages in the back of the book.

(K-2) Super cute book on how witches, vampires, aliens, skeletons, werewolves, and skeletons say good night. Even teaches you how to say good night in several languages at the back of the book.

Although not onr of my personal favorites, my son loves it and that's what is important. To instill the love of books at a young age is what is important.
Super creative and fun. It goes through many of the "creatures" that you see around Halloween time, and shows how they might say good night to their parents.
A variety of classic movie monsters and Halloween creatures tuck their children into bed and say goodnight in their own unique voice.
