The Ashleys rule Miss Gamble's Preparatory School for Girls. They are gorgeous, rich, impeccably fashion forward, and, yes, all named Ashley. Lauren Page has gone to the same school with them her whole life, and the Ashleys, if forced to remember, might recall only a faint memory of shoving mud in the poor girl's mouth in kindergarten. But Lauren Page is no longer the mud-...more

Meet the Ashleys, who rule the school and make life miserable for non-SOA (Seal Of Approval) girls. The three of them are gorgeous, wealthy, and have all the best clothing.

This year, the three Ashleys watch one girl step out of her limo looking like a movie star. Lauren has arrived at a new plateau, or so she hopes. Her plan is to infiltrate the Ashleys and then destroy them. With her father's newfound wealth, she's gone from bargain shopper to ha...more

Far fetched and over the top? Absolutey. But it is a fun fluff read for older elementary and middle school girls not quite read for Gossip Girl or It Girl series (read: no sex or drugs).

Haven't read it. But here is the paragraph on the back of the book, so you can get a feel for what i am about to read:

12-year-old-girls wearing Gucci and high heels at school? Owning limos and travelling by private jets to shop in Beverly Hills? OMG.
I like the book, it gets 3 stars from me. It was funny and an easy read.

"If you get to know my world...
It's not easy bein' a doll
Watch my Gucci on the floor"

"If you get to know my world
Mirror mirror on the wall
Cherry lipstick and some doe"

These lyrics describe the book so well. Ha ha ha!

LOL.

A Clique knockoff that actually might just be better then it. It follows the story of The Ashleys, the ruling clique at school, and Lauren Page, who seeks to infiltrate the group.

Want a shallow, kid-friendly gossip girl knockoff? This is for you. If not, stay away.
This book was cheesy, shallow, and horribly unrealistic. These girls are only in middle school, and they're acting like shallow, unrealistic, cliche highschool clique girls.

This read was made all the worse because I hated the MC, Lauren, and my name is Lauren. So everytime she did some dumb bimbo shit, I had to mutter 'Dammit, Lauren!' And I hated the Ashleys [which is my middle name.] That's actually the only...more

Set in posh San Francisco, California the Ashley Trio dominate Miss Gambles Preparatory Academy fore Girls. The three girls Ashley Li (Lilli), Ashley Alioto (A.A.) and Ashley are all rich, fashion forward, rich and the envy of the rest of the girls at the academy. Ashley Li (Lilli) seems to be gifted at whatever she attempts. In the book, she refers to herself as "only daughter," but later in the book we learn that she has 3-year-old twin sisters and two older sisters. Impolite and egotistical,...more

The Ashleys is about four girls three who are in a clique called the Ashleys. All of their names are Ashley except for Lauren. Lauren has changed a lot since her father became rich. She tries to get into the clique to destroy them and change the 7th grade.
A text-to-self connection is that I'm like Lauren who doesn't like mean people who spread rumors. Also I don't like bullying or cliques who are mean to people who are not their friend. I think it is really stupid like her.

This book is about a girl named Lauren, who's father became rich by creating a popular website called 'myTV' (or something like that) and when she goes back to school she tries so hard to join the Ashley group but to me that is kind of lame because if they want to keep calling themselves the Ashley's, then another Ashley should join. If you have read this book, there is a 2nd one called "The Ashley's, Jealous?'"

This book is about a group of 3 girls, they are rich, snobby, all named Ashley and they all go to an all girl school. There whole life they went to school with a girl named Lauren, finally showed them all in this book, now Lauren is rich and way better then them. All the girls ( all the Ashleys') try to be better then her

This book was very very strange. It was about seventh graders/twelve year olds which I was NOT expecting and thought it was a little young for me. But it was amusing to read anyway.

So... what to say? Got it read. It wasn't that bad. It's a 2.5 stars but got rounded up to 3 because it was well written (Melissa de la Cruz always delivers there) and entertaining enough. Am I going to read the rest of the saga? Not likely, it's 3 more books of pre-teenagers acting way too old for their age. Maybe I'll wiki the rest so I know how they end. What I'll do, at some point, is end the Blue Bloods saga once and for all, but Lost in Time was so boring...

Anyway, my biggest complain in t...more

This book is about a clique called The Ashley's. There are 3 girls and their names are all Ashley, but only one can have the name Ashley so noone can mix up their names. They made up nicknames one was called Lili, the other one was called A.A and the leader of the group was called Ashley. They were popular, rich, famous, and pretty. In kinergarden they made a girl name Lauren eat mud because she was the loser in their school, but when they graduated to 7th grade, the loser Lauren appears to be dif...more

Lauren Page, tired of being a loser, has received a makeover in an attempt to fit in at Miss Gamble’s Preparatory School for Girls, so she can wiggle her way into the inner circle of the most popular girls at school, the Ashleys. She plans to break them apart and take charge as the new queen bee at Miss Gamble’s. However, Ashley Spencer, the leader of the Ashleys, there by the only one that could go by the name Ashley, is not welcome to new friends. Ashley Li, nicknamed Lili, however feels sympa...more

SUMMARY

Ashley Spencer is your typical blonde....popular, mean, and as dum as a rock. And then come her crew, the Ashleys....A.A, Lili, and her. All named Ashley. As the undisputed alpha, she's the most well-repsected girl at her school. Then comes Lauren Page. Lauren has spent her entire life being teased and looked down on by the Ashleys because of her looks and brains. She's had enough. Now that her family is rich and at the top of the food chain, Lauren goes through a major makeover that chan...more

The Ashleys is a page-turner, also a funny, easy ride to enjoy; and more importantly, it's not annoying like some other highschool dramas. Like Blue Bloods, The Ashleys set its background on the social scene of high-end society. But instead of the New York setting in Blue Bloods, The Ashleys took place in San Fransisco and the characters were narrowed down to a group of pre-teens within an all-girl school.

As in other de la Cruz's YA novels, the author made sure that you know what the main charac...more

This is one of those chic-lit books I read just to finish and throw off my shelf (purchased it in 7th grade and haven't touched it since). Although it isn't deserving of high praise, it's not too terrible. Clearly, it's another popular mean girl series, somewhat like an adolescent form of Gossip Girl and the Clique. I must admit I was entertained by their excessive snobbiness and flaunt of elite superiority. "The Ashley's"'s personalities might be god damn awful, but you can't have a mean girls...more

Asta pana cand norocul i s-a schimbat si familia ei a devenit bogata peste noapte. Ea va deveni noua senzatie in scoal...more

There are 4 girls and all the names are Ashley. The girls think that they are better than everyone and that they can dress better than everyone. One of them got a text message from a boy that they all like and his name is josh and josh only likes one of them and it is the one that he texted. When she got a text message the other girls asked who texted u and she said josh. Josh seen Ashley in the hall way and he went up to her and he said will u go out with me and she said yes. Lauren Page smoothed down the folds of her short plaid skirt and crossed her legs so that she could admire the shiny new black-and-white Chanel spectator oxfords on her feet a little better. They looked so cute with her thick cashmere socks scrunched down just above the ankle, she thought. She'd been wearing the same green plaid uniform to Miss Gamble's all her life, but she was in the upper form now -- seventh grade -- which meant saying good-bye to her boring old Buster Browns and hello to the...more

Years ago, while helping my sister scout for books in the Children's section, I came upon one of the worst books ever.
What are they feeding the kids these days? Brand names, celebrity gossip, shallowness, vanity, cattiness and the smell of money, money and more money. Spoiled rich little kids might relate to this I suppose, and the rest are just being marketed this trash.
I can't remember if it was in this book or The Clique, but there was this paragraph going something along the lines of: "They w...more

This was really lame.

I expected something like Mean Girls or at least a smart, likable heroine. But this book and Lauren were nothing like that. At all. I mean seriously? She was STUPID. If you're going to try to bring popular people down by trying to be popular yourself and breaking them up, you need to have a clear plan. You need to be strong. You need to have researched and practiced how to be cool. But Lauren did NONE of those things. How can she be so THICK? Simply changing your looks isn't...more

The book I read was the Ashley’s. The author was Melissa de la Cruz. I put the genre as adventure. I thought it was an adventure because she had to go through hard times and adventure her way through them.
The Ashley’s was about three girls named Ashley. The school they got at every body has a lot of money in one-way or another. They all called each other nicknames so they would not get confused with each other. They would always pick on a Lauren. Onc...more

Gue baca buku ini karena 'nggak sengaja' ngeliat profil Glam Girls, Adriana, bilang dia suka The Ashleys. Ya, gue baca lah ya. Dan... love it!

This is definitely a girly read, maybe for slightly younger readers than me but I still found it rather enjoyable!

I've had this book for ages but I had somehow managed to dismiss it for a long time. Well to be honest I think I gave it a go but didn't finish, but this time I did and I found it quite a light and pleasurable read!

If ever there was a character that was a bully, it would be Ashley Spencer (the main Ashley). She is definitely horrible to Lauren (my favourite character). She doesn't w...more
