The Doctor trying to take Jamie on a little cruise holiday is the premise for this adventure. Now hang on a second...wasn't the Doctor upset that someone was messing around with Earth's timelines? Well never mind, it's a really nice thing for him to do, and shows his affection for Jamie admirably, so of course things go wrong and they end up on the Titanic. I like the TARDIS's way of locating things. You can tell that the Doctor inputs something like, "absolute coordinates unknown...find me a sh ...more

The pairing of Jamie with the the Sixth Doctor continues here in a story that gets gradually weirder as it progresses. The TARDIS initially lands on the Titanic, shortly before it's due to hit the iceberg, which seems a rather unoriginal concept (at least Storm Warning used the lesser known R101 for that plot idea), as well as giving insufficient time for anything interesting to happen on the way to the inevitable.

So, of course, there's much more to the story than that. Even in the first 30 minu

The Doctor plans to take Jamie for a trip on the Queen Mary. But when they arrive, they seem to have landed on the Titanic, mere hours before it is due to crash into an iceberg. Except that several small details seem to be wrong: there are doors that lead nowhere; the first officer's name seems to be wrong; and the band keeps playing the same tune over and over...And then events make it clear that they aren't on the real Titanic at all.

The Doctor works through a number of theories about what is

This was an interesting adventure packed continuation of the previous 6/Jamie adventure, City of Spires but definitely needs to be listened to in order.

I hadn't heard of the Titan - it's an interesting story, and is an actual book. I was guessing all the way through what was really going on, it's very well put together and thought out. I'm also enjoying the interviews with cast, writers, directors etc that are included on these discs.

I was very pleased that I had the next adventure to listen to

The Doctor decides to take Jamey on a cruise on the Mary Celeste but he lands on the Titanic. Or he thinks. After trying to get back to the Tardis they are moved to the Titan. When the Titan hits the iceberg the doctor and Jamey are rescued by the Nautalus. Can the doctor figure why they seem to be in fictional stories.

The Doctor plans to take his reunited friend on a trip aboard the RMS Queen Mary. But it turns out to be the RMS Titanic. Until it then turns out to be the eerily similar Titan...

Another delightful audio from the Sixth Doctor, this time with Jamie (they seem to be doing a mini-season!)
