Linda Lipko
This book contains some quotes that resonate, but overall many are very trite.

Here are those that I like:

"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars"
Charles Beard
"To get nowhere, follow the crowd"
Anonymous

"Anyone can be polite to a king, but it takes a civilized person to be polite to a beggar"
Anonymous

And, my favorite quote in this book is:

""
"Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back into the same box"
Italian saying
