I’m continuing to work my way through Pliny’s encyclopedia. This was a huge work for one man to have put together. Its value to our knowledge of the ancient world is invaluable. You do have to take the truth – as they knew it – along with the fiction, but the impact of this combined knowledge drove how men lived during the Roman times.
