Kate Williams is a lawyer, she used to practice in Chicago but decided to move to Arizona after two cases. She was in the transition of getting settled into her office. I'm feeling wishy-washy on my ratings-- I think this one is a 3.5 star book. I clearly enjoyed it, and certainly didn't find anything wrong with it. It just didn't quite make it all the way to four stars.
This was a fun read, with crazy characters that reminded my of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, without being quite as crazy and over the top.
The mystery worked well enough to carry the story, with some unexpected twists and turns along the way. There was a good mix More...

What a terrific mystery, and here I sit feeling good about the surprise twist. Sometimes in a mystery the twist can go really wrong, but this one worked for me. And the whole time reading you really had no idea what was about to happen. That, for me, is really good writing. Plus a dash of creativity.
Definitely going to be giving kudos to the author on this installment of A Kate Williams Mystery. There is 2 other books available though unsure of the order.
