Opening Line: “The ragged tops of tall palms rustled quietly in a furnace like breeze and the sky pressed down over the Moorish city of Na’Jar.

Oh this was fun, whisked away to the desert land of Sheik princes, royal palaces, camels, date palms, espionage and love among the sand dunes. Not my normal fare to be sure but I really enjoyed this. Author Loreth Ann White has outdone herself with the amount of research she must have put into this story. I actually felt like I was in Africa with the sun

This book was really out of my normal type setting that I am use to reading, but man am I glad I didn't let that stop me from reading this story. Seven years ago Nikki Hunt lost everything. Turning to alcohol and drugs to lessen the pain, but one day she found her calling. Seven years later she is nurse Aid worker helping abandon children in poor countries. When she is captured by the handsome Zakir while trying to get her 7 orphans across his country, Nikki is at Zakir's mercy, she's also one o ...more

I got to page 92 of this book and discovered the rest of the book was going to be about her betraying him and I just can't read it any more. This is not a theme that is appealing in any way to me. I read for fun and betrayal story lines are just agonizing for me so I don't put myself through it any more. Which is sad because I was really enjoying the story and the writing up until that point. On to the next book.

Hmmm, I was hoping for an action filled adventure in the desert. The summary and the cover defenitely make you believe that. But in reality this story is just a bit boring, as it drags on.
t started out interesting enough, with her almost being killed by the king's soldiers but after that it went downhill. It turns into the typical sappy lovestory. He sees her and immediately feels attrackted, he is tall, dark and so well built, he saves her at some point and at the end they end up in bed.

More romance than mystery

Tale is less believable in this book. Why does,nt heroine just confess
does she really think she will be executed, or is she just a little
Stupid so whites plot will move along .
