It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. Melissa McEwen's poems are the flowers in the air of a much-needed cool breeze on a hot southern summer afternoon. A wonderfully talented story-teller, this poet has a REMARKABLY STRONG eye for IRONY:

And I'm not just saying this because she is my twin sister: this is a poet's poet chapbook. I've been waiting for a chapbook like this-- a re-readable one with solid poems and not just filler poems. Great work from a great writer! I hope there are more chapbooks/books to follow.
