I picked up this book at the library when unwanted renewed contact with my ex sent me on an emotional roller coaster. I wish I'd had this book 4 years ago at the time of my divorce. I was able to see what happened in a new light within the first 80 pages and have found peace after 4 years of struggling with a strong sense of rejection and inadequacy. Ms. Weimer is a life coach and does a good job of coaching the reader into new, positive frames of mind that are empowering and take the feel of be ...more
Anyone who has been through a divorce would bode well to read this great book

I have been through two break-ups of long term relationships. It would have been extremely helpful to read Tonja Evetts Weimer’s Thriving After Divorce at some point along the road. If I had read it after the first break-up, there is no way I would have entered into the second relationship. If I had read it after the second break-up, my path to ‘thriving’ might have been a little better lit.
