Useful for analysing masculinity in China. It needs to be read critically, as the theories Louie presents are relevant but need to be updated to suit modern-day Chinese masculinity.

Read for a school project. Interesting and easy to read, it gave great insight into Chinese masculinity using popular literature and movies as reference.
