This started out kind of meh and then deteriorated into downright creepy. The actual love story is pleasant, but I don’t think I’ve ever read a more child-centered romance: everything is done for Liza’s sake. A typical comment from heroine Holly “When Liza smiles, we’ll know [we’ve done the right thing]. That’s what it’s all about. We must never forget that.” But Liza is obviously emotionally disturbed and no one does a thing about it except to give her her own way, no matter what the cost. Read ...more

Note to myself: read this during trip to Italy and found it so bland, it couldn't relate with the vibrant Italia I was seeing.
I don't see him, a Judge, falling head-over-heels in love with her, a hard-luck artist/impromptu babysitter hiding from the polizia. Marriage of convenience plot too forced. An escaped convict seeking revenge on the judge so judge marries his babysitter who just so happened to form a tight bond with his motherless daughter because she is English like the dead mom. Whaaa?

1.5 Bintang

It's so romantic
Ide ceritanya sebenarnya bagus, tapi storyline dan karakter tokohnya berasa ga kuat. Terjemahannya jg kaku, dan banyak typo yg bertaburan
