I've been a fan of Lynne Connolly's Richard and Rose series and when I came across this new series, the Triple Countess books, I couldn't resist trying them out.

The first story is about Daniel and Miranda, they have been married for 5 years although theirs was an arranged marriage they fell in love. Since Miranda gave birth to their second son the doctor has recommended Daniel to avoid marital relations because if Miranda becomes pregnant again she may die in childbirth. This has made a strain i
Lord Rose
It was okay, I guess, but there were a lot of inconsistencies.
•The heroine is married to an earl, but refers to herself as a marchioness a couple times, even though the earl's mom is still a countess.
•The hero and heroine's oldest son is John in the beginning, then in the end it switches to Christopher, who was the younger son.
•The villain is referred to as "Lord Cavendish", but is then said to be a baronet later. (The other baronet is Sir Firstname, though.)

I was born in Leicester, England, and lived in our cobbler’s shop with my parents and sister. It was an old house and most definitely haunted, but I didn’t find out until I left that my great uncle had hung himself in the living room! But I think our ghost might have been older than that. It was built on the site of the old Roman cemetery, and the land had been constantly inhabited, being in the c ...more
