Opening Line: "In the two weeks Aiden Riordan had been in Virgin River, he's hiked over a hundred miles and grown himself a pretty hefty dark red beard."

Erin Foley’s character was first introduced to the Virgin River series way back in book #4 A Virgin River Christmas now she’s back and a whole lot nicer for book #10 (if you‘re counting)

After raising her younger siblings then watching them marry and settle into their own lives Erin is now without any responsibilities for the first time in her ad...more

I absolutely LOVED this book. As usual Carr did an impressive job pairing the hero and heroine together. While I had reservations about Erin and Aiden as a couple before I read the book, due to my perception on Erin’s personality. It soon became obvious I should not have worried. Although Erin is indeed uptight and a bit controlling at first, we are able to see other facets to her personality and it soon becomes apparent it’s just a façade. In the end she turned out to be one of those rare heroi...more

Well, this one was didactic. Almost lost a star for the lectures on special needs adults, surrogate parenting and life after hysterectomy. One of Carr's strengths is her dialogue, but people just don't go into these long-winded explanations. And I'm not sure that, as a reader, I needed to know all those details ... at least not more than once.

In any case, I liked the lead couple. I loved, loved, loved, that my favorite Virgin River couple -- Ian and Marcie -- were back in the picture. Although M...more

There are two places you're guaranteed to hear about vaginal dryness. In a medical textbook, and in a Robyn Carr `romance'.

I've had enough of Virgin River.

The region has a disproportionate percentage of residents who make a living from working between women's legs.

We got another lesson in the details of menopause - but this time it happened when Jack had a conversation about it. And there's no better way to kill the romance of a romantic hero than write him into a conversation about vaginal d...more

While I wasn't as enthralled in this particular story as I have been in some of the other books in this series, I still enjoyed it. Most of it takes place in Virgin River, CA, and involves a heroine that was first introduced in #4 in the series, "A Virgin River Christmas" with Ian Buchanan and Marcie Sullivan.

As with any series, it's better to have read the series in order and since "Moonlight Road" updated a few other past characters--especially this one!

"Moonlight Road" is the 11th book in th...more

5 stars – Contemporary Romance

This is another sweet, dramatic, moving, emotional, and romantic addition to Carr’s superb Virgin River saga, which remains one of my top favorite series.

Aiden Riordan is such a husband worthy hero, and although his relationship with Erin Foley developed rather quickly, the connection between them felt genuine and their moments together were innocently tender, touching, and passionate. The way Aiden was so determined to please Erin...Ahhh and Yowza!

I'm very far behind with this series, but I have an excuse - I read it in paperback and in Italian. Book #12 came out a couple of weeks ago and now I'm trying to catch up.

"Moonlight Road" made a wonderful addition to the Virgin River series. I recommend reading all books in order, but since Ms. Carr does a great job at giving a backstory, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

There a lot of great reviews out there that's why I'll just add that the author didn't disappoint. I do have a mino...more

This is the 10th novel in the Virgin River series and Robyn Carr keeps on keeping on when it comes t o giving her readers another compelling love story. There are carry-over characters in all these stories and for me that just makes the context richer with each succeeding story. Several of these novels have featured the Riordan family and here we meet another of the brothers.

This story revolves around two people who are at loose ends, a critical juncture in their personal individual history. Eri...more

Moonlight Road is another in the multi-series Virgin River books by talented Robyn Carr. This is my third in the series, and though not in order, I’m enjoying the recurring and new characters as much as if I had started with the first book. As with her other books, Moonlight Road is characterized by strong, well-written characters, interesting and realistic plots and enough emotion to keep the reader choked up or smiling. Sometimes both. Ms. Carr is a master storyteller, and it’s easy to see why...more

My Review

Erin Foley came to Virginia River looking to get away for her hectic life. She’s a high profile lawyer, who was forced to raise her siblings after loosing both of her parents. She is at a cross-road in her life. With both of her siblings now out of the house and moving on with their lives, Erin has decided to stay in her families cabin in Virgin River for the summer. She just wants to relax and make some decisions in her life. To bad the sexy Aiden Riordan , had other plans for Ms. Fole...more

Dear Ms. Carr,

I love this series, especially because all 10 books are on audio and narrated by Therese Plummer (aka Savannah Richards) who is, bar none, the best in the business. She breathes life into the characters that inhabit Virgin River; and,if the two of you remain a team, the series will rock for as long as you want it to.

As enjoyable as the series is, however, there is one major flaw that I'm hoping you can correct at some point soon. While it is true that you've created THE hero extra...more

What do you get when you mix a down-to-earth ex Navy man with a rather uptight executive? Fireworks of course!

This book starts out with a comedy of errors in which the heroine thinks the hero is a homeless person. One thing leads to another and it turns out the joke is on her. Aiden throws Erin for a loop when they lock horns over and over again during the course of this book and I found myself eagerly turning the pages to see what would happen next.

While Erin and Aiden’s lovestory is front and...more

Another Virgin River Book. This one was okay. A little far fetched, but that's what keeps it light and easy reading..

With her beloved younger siblings settled and happy, Erin Foley has empty nest syndrome. At age thirty-five.

There are way better books to read than this. I would pass on this book unless you are stuck somewhere with nothing else to do but read and this is the only book that is available. I didn't read the other books in the series so perhaps that is part of the reason why I didn't like this book that much. There were too many characters with too many side stories of little interest or consequence. There is something wrong about making the main male character and love interest in a book an OB/GYN. I wa...more

I probably would have loved this book much more if I had read the entire series instead of most of the first 9 books. This series keeps you up to date on all the past characters and if you don't remember every single one of them it can be confusing initially. Lucky for me, the side stories of Mel and Marcie were from past books I had read so I was pretty up to speed. What I will say for this book was that Aiden & Erin's first love scene was probably one of the hottest and sweetest love scene...more

This really was my least favourite Virgin River book! I found the storyline too slow and just a little bit dull. I really struggled to keep reading this and not to skim read or skip pages. Also Erin really, really annoys me! She did when she first appeared in A Virgin River Christmas I liked that Aiden managed to loosen her up some but it wasn't enough.

I loved the ending of Moonlight Road and not because I could out the book down, but because Erin finally got a bit of an edge and also she realis...more

What I liked: I liked how this book had just a little bit of action/mystery of something from the past for Aiden. I also enjoy the books so much that I can't put them down.
What I didn't Liked: There is nothing that I don't like about the whole Virgin River series other than the time it takes me to get to the next one.
Overall Impression: I like that Aiden was brought back to be a major character in this book and tells his story. Maureen and George are so cute as an older couple in love. Art also...more

WITH HER BELOVED YOUNGER SIBLINGS SETTLED AND HAPPY, ERIN FOLEY HAS EMPTY NEST SYNDROME. AT AGE THIRTY-FIVE.

Moonlight Road is the tenth novel in Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series – I’ve been churning through these quite quickly since I first started them back in May! This one deals with Aiden Riordan, brother to the previously-written-about Luke and Sean, who has taken his leave from the Navy as an OB and is having a bit of a break in Virgin River before looking around for a job.

Erin Foley is also having a break. Previously introduced in #4, A Virgin River Christmas as Marcie’s protective older sister,...more

This was a good book in the Virgin River series:

** Interesting heroine, Erin Foley, who changes and grows

** A lot happening for Dr. Aiden Riordan

** A challenge for Melinda and Jack Sheridan

** A new life for Vivian and George

** Danger!!!

** Adoption

** More weddings to come

** Hearts full of love

I liked 'Moonlight Road' much more than I expected. Keep reading, this one starts slower than some of the episodes. Erin Foley didn't start out as particularly likeable, but I was amused to see a pushy, domi...more

I do sometimes need to read a book where I can race through. This one was for sure a winner on that part. I have never read any other books by Robyn Carr. So in a way I did like all the characters a great deal. Okay, Erin is for sure the most uptight person that I came across on paper for a long time. But you can not blame her.
So I did finish this one in 2 short days&nights. It is not five stare literature but it for sure spiced up my insomnia spell. I tend to say that books by Robyn Carr a...more

I nostalgici de...more

I give this a 3 1/2 stars. I liked the story of Noah and Ellie and their dealings with his past wife. I liked how he was so considerate in his love making and her feelings. Great story about their realationship.
I have to say this book made me dislike Mel even more. For being a medical nurse and midwife she showed even more of her selfish spoiled feelings. I realize the lost of her uterus in a hysterectomy at her 2nd babys childbirth, but come on now she is a professional telling other women its...more

Number eleven in the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr. Aiden Riordan, who we have met in previous books, has recently left the navy and taking it easy before he decides his next step in his career. While out hiking he comes upon a cabin and scares the occupant with his gruffy appearance. The occupant is Erin Foley, the sister of Marcie, who we met in A Virgin River Christmas. A rough start but Aiden woos Erin and breaks down her defenses.

For some reason I didn't connect as much with Erin and A...more

The Virgin River series by Robyn Carr is like a visit with family. It's nice to see what is going on in the town, and what new people you may meet along the way.

This is such a pleasurable series to read. It's starting to get difficult to keep the total cast of characters in memory, particularly where not everyone lives in Virgin River anymore. This is another Riordan brother story. Aidan has retired from the Navy and is taking some time in Virgin River with his brother and his wife who are having their first baby soon. Aidan is an obstetrician. He looks like a mountain man when he comes across Erin who immediately panics and knocks herself out when she...more

Erin Foley has renovated Ian Buchannan's wilderness cabin and is taking a vacation, her first in 24 years. Enter Dr.Aiden Riordan backpacking through the mountains. She thinks he is a lowly EMT and he is eager to meet someone who is not looking to marry a doctor. Aiden charms her through a series of thoughtful and entertaining dates and slowly the lawyer/family caretaker is thoroughly taken with the rugged doctor. Enter crazy ex wife/con woman who almost derails Aiden's serenity and love life. S...more

Just a continuation of the Virgin River Epic.

I may stop reading these soon - I don't find I'm getting anything new out of them. That isn't to say that I didn't like Aiden and Erin, because I did, but I am starting to get tired of Mel. And Mel is always around. Jack and Mel are a pivotal point of this series, although they may not be heavily featured they are always important to some sub-plot and frankly I am done with reading their story.

I want to read about a new community with new characters a...more

Awful. It's a romance novel, so a certain level of awful is expected, however, this goes above and beyond. Part of it is your typical romance fodder. Erin is a 30-something, smoking hot, red-haired, highly successful lawyer who never had time for love. Aiden is a 30-something, smoking hot, raven haired, highly successful doctor (OB/GYN) whose past relationship soured him on love. They meet, there's drama, hot sex, more drama, they live happily ever after. At the same time, this book is part of a...more

“I asked Phil Prentiss what he would do if they never got a baby and he said they’d die with a lot of excess love in their hearts….” “And let’s not,” Jack said. “Let’s spend every drop.
