This book exceeds expectations. I'm not an addict (though i think we're all addicted to something), nor very religious, but i soon found that that doesn't matter one bit when it comes to liking this book. Read Bridget's book, Minus One: A Twelve-Step Journey for an inside look at a lovable and believable woman who reclaims her life from addiction and serves as a role model for being human in so many ways! A must read for those going through the 12 Steps for the first time, for those interested in LGBT issues, or anyone interested in some excellent female erotica. Wonderfully written, a real page-turner from beginning to end.

I'm currently reading Bufford's next novel, Cemetery Bird. I find her writing brilliant and rich. I didn't expect to see that in her ...more
