WORDS FOR SONGS NEVER WRITTEN by William Taylor Jr. is a book that belongs in the backpack of anyone remotely interested or serious about poetry. If you were a young writer looking for inspiration, a shopper looking for a gift for yourself or others, a bookstore owner looking to beef up your poetry section, or a historian searching for the heart of modern poetry, my recommendations could be counted on one hand—and William Taylor jr.'s WORDS FOR SONGS NEVER WRITTEN would be one of the books.
It's this simple: It's one of the best small press books of the last 10 years.
