The only thing that frustrated me about the story of Maude is the fact that her eyes kept changing color since I first met her in The Shocking Lord Standon. Other than that, she proves to be not only smart but cunning in her "courting" of the evasive Mr. Hurst.
I am sad to realize I am starting to read the very last of the Ravenhursts' stories. At first I refused to embark on any kind of series, but once I read the first one, which was #3 for me, I went on to find each and every one, including th

book 5 of in Those Scandalous Ravenhursts

I think this one might be my favorite Ravenhurst book.

Lady Maude and Mr. Hurst are not from the same social standings/ Mr.Hurst operates a theatre. Lady Maude is of the ton but she has set her heart on Mr.Hurst. You can imagine the fun Louise had with this plot!

A pretty good read. There was plenty of humor, emotions, good characters, a good story line, a great ending and a good family and friends feel. This is something I wouldn't mind reading again. I would definitely like to read more on the other Ravenhurst couples and see how those stories came along. I liked the bonds formed and the friendly atmosphere, not a haughty old dragon in sight in this book. ;) good scenes and pretty much a relaxing read to snuggle up with. Enjoy

This was another wonderfully light and entertaining read by Allen. I adored Eden, but Maude was fabulous. I loved her courage, her passion and her strength. Eden had no chance. I loved how she taught him about himself and gave him the strength to face his past and make amends with the family. I did really feel sorry for his mother though. What a dreadful thing for her family to do - but then, I have family much like that. So I do understand. Family can make or break you and all too often, they d ...more

I would say like every amazing historical romance the book in terms to description, twist and love has been worth every second.

I have had my nose buried in a history book - fact or fiction - for as long as I can remember, but even more important to me are the places and the objects that conjure up the past. My first attempt at historical fiction
