This book has werewolves, vampires and sidhe (fairies). It's a young adult fantasy novel.
If you finished Twilight or are waiting for the next Vampire Academy or House of Night novel and need a new book to read, try this book.

Bottom Line – With it's intense yet tender story, Song of the Moon drew me in...I read it in about 24 hours, it's a quick read that I did not want to put down, though I can tell you with 100 pages to go, part of me wanted so desperately to put it down and finish tomorrow, JUST so I could have a reason to reconnect with Artemis, however the part that won out demanded I finish! I have read several reviews on goodreads that liken this book to Twilight, and though there's a love story, I honestly di

Artemis Lupine: Song of the Moon, is an great story with equally amazing characters. It has werewolves, vampires, and a touch of the fae, everything you could ask for in a good young adult paranormal novel.
The world Catherine Banks conjures up for this tale is darker and more intriguing than the typical backdrops in most YA novels. Banks’ writing style is a bit rough and there are a couple plotline issues but in the end, it didn’t effect the story too much.

This was an excellent and fun book to read - couldn't put it down! The plot was intriguing and well paced. I am a fan of good dialog and this book has more than its fair share of zingers and memorable lines. The characters are colorful, but I feel the author could have done a better job making them more distinctive. For example, I know that Koda and Matt are twins and probably will act very similar to one another, but at the same time, there should be some quirk that helps the reader distinguish

I really liked the book and the interesting take on the Catherine's world she has created with Artemis and Ares and the supporting characters in the start of this little saga. She has definitely taken some time fleshing out the current story line where we are introduced to the characters. With the end of the book it leaves you wanting to know what happens next with the impatience of your favorite TV show cliffhangers. Hoping to see more books soon and maybe some more background history into the

Catherine Banks's debuting novel Song of the Moon is a captivating and unique read. Artemis has spent years sheltered from everything including herself. When her Father and Best Friend take one last trip, before he leaves for college, the world becomes impossible to avoid. After meeting her Father's odd friend Kato things begin to unravel, and it seems as though the world is all of a sudden chasing her.

Song of The Moon is one of those books that draws you in and doesn't let go.
The way the story starts out I thought it was going in a different direction that it ended up going. The author blew me away with the story and the characters. Artemis is a strong, independent chick. She hasn't had many friends except for her best friend Brett.
I liked Brett in the beginning, he's a good friend but somewhat overprotective. His story line just kinda ends so I am wondering if More...

Gah! i want more now! it was fantastic and suspenseful up until the last sentence. i cannot believe i have to wait till February to read more about Artemis and Ares. wow! you all know i love a good werewolf tale, but this was great.I'm definitely looking forward to more from Ms. Banks.
Part love story, part coming of age, and all werewolf hotness. Can't get any better than this. It was a very fast read with very lovable characters. I didn't want it to end, and even though it's almost More...

Her best friend Brent just graduated and leaves town at the end of summer. Artemis’ father, Darren, decides they should all go on a trip and make some great last memories. His only condition: no TV. First stop: Las Vegas, then Reno and now they arrive in Salt Lake Tahoe. They can do whatever they want: gambling, drinking, partying. Darren even got them some fake ID’s.

Can I please just tell you that I still cannot believe how quickly Banks had me hooked to her Artemis Lupine series. I'm honestly still in shock! I took one look at this cover (I'm ashamed to say) and almost put the book right back down. I can't quite put my finger on what it is that bothered me so much but I immediately felt like relating to these characters, let alone coming to enjoy myself in Banks' world would be nearly impossible. I can't stress enough how wrong I was. Banks had me hooked I

Pleasantly surprised but this book….I must admit I do see the Twilight similarities but nonetheless I really liked it and am looking forward to the next book of the series. While at first I didn’t get the family dynamics and what all was going on I found myself engrossed in the story wondering what was going to happen next. There were some parts where I felt as details were thrown in as an after thought to answer questions that weren’t previously addressed and characters that did a complete 180

Okay...I am still gasping for air after finishing that one. I don't even think I can put into words how extremely GREAT this book was. If you love buff werewolves and lots of hot steamy romance than this book is for you. With a little over 600 pages-but still read it in one sitting. I literally could not put it down. Can't wait for the next one:)

Interesting take on the whole werewolf, vampire and other themes. I felt sorry for Artemis who was kept ignorant of truth of her nature by her father Darren. Ares, the hero did try to be patient with her until she became accustomed to the idea of being his other half and to the idea of being with him forever.

I have been wanting to read this book since forever, well since I heard about it. I sat down to read it and couldn't put it down. It was interesting but Artemis was so tiring I had trouble getting through it.
I'm a sucker for werewolves so I felt obligated to finish. The story line was kind of random and repeated itself. All she did was eat, sleep, deny that she loved a sexy wolf man and was kept in the dark about what she is. It was a little weird but thanks to Koda, Matt and Victor I cra More...

It was not as good a read as I hoped it would be. There were several places I thought the book might turn into adult erotica manage or multiple partner thing. However looks like there are several people who liked this book, but it wasn't for me. I also see love triangle brewing soon, hate when that happens, especially after author spent a whole book convincing the readers that Artemis and Ares are soul mates and are destined to be

I really liked this book. Although I have to admit it, parts of it definely reminded me of Twilight (But in a good way.) One thing that I often gush about is the ending. I LOVED the ending, (even though I was mad it was such a cliffhanger). A lot of questions that I had, weren't answered so.. I NEED the second book!! Definely a great book with such a sweet romance. = )
