I'll admit that I had the same problem as some of the other readers did- it was a little strange to see the point of view shift from Morgan to Hunter. Part of me kept wanting to see it from Morgan's POV, although after a while I managed to get into his way of speaking & thinking.

This entry into the Sweep series has Hunter finally traveling to meet up with his parents after their abrupt departure about eleven years before. When he finally finds their home, Hunter is shocked at what he More...

If you wrote a book which included characters who speak another language, would you want to make sure the phrases you wrote were accurate?
How about if you were an editor or publisher? Would you care about accurate translations?

It was kind of a nice idea to have this book in Hunter's POV (although the Sweep series is getting progressively worse--all "tell" and no "show") but the insistence on using "french" was excruciating. Auto-translate did BETTE More...

I know that I have missed one book of the series which is really annoying, but unfortunately the library does not seem to have it which really does not make sense at all, but thats the way the library works I suppose. However, it was nice to read a book based around another characters lifestyle because its nice to see something from their perspective. In many respects though, it seems that we are now onto the like side series, where we do read about the other characters lives. Hunter is an inter More...

The book Seeker by Cate Tiernan is the ninth book to the sweep collection. Its a fiction series that is about a girl discovering she is a blood witch. In this book it switches to Hunters piont of view, were he goes to find his parents. What he finds is not what he thought it wud be. It turns out his mother is died and his fatheris good as died. Its like its not him he jst stuck in that boby. While tring to help and keep his dad alive he ends up making a huge mistake that in the end might cost More...

Today's review is on Seeker by: Cate Tiernan

Seeker is the 10th book in Cate Tiernan's Sweep series, and was both interesting and a bit boring.

Seeker is the first book in the series that is narrated by Hunter. In Strife, Hunter receives information leading to the location of his parents, who he hasn't seen in 11 years. In Seeker, he decides that her has to take the chance to find them. Though he asks Morgan to come with him, she is still working hard to imp More...

Hunter Niall is a blood witch. At nineteen he is the youngest person to ever work as a seeker for the International Council of Witches. This one was different because it was from Hunter's POV, which I thought was different. I don't really get how you can find the true name of things like Justine does, doesn't it sound really creepy? I kind of knew that one of Hunter's parents was going to be dead. It was kind of obvious. EEK! When Morgan and Hunter were going to "do it" in the beginning but then Hunter got to paranoid....I was kind of scared to read it because I thought it seemed a little graphic, but it really wasn't. I have to say that I really enjoyed this installment in the "Sweep" series. It was refreshing to hear the story from another character's point of view, aside from in various Books of Shadows entries. You may think that Hunter is all business, but he is not. All work and no play. Well, I thought he was dull until I read this book. He is like any other guy. He really cares about Morgan, and is not in love with his job. He thinks about things that I thought didn't even come across his min More...

I have enjoyed the Sweep series. Seeker was taken from Hunter's POV. This is a great insight into his character. He faces the hard decision about finding his parents. The counsel lets him know where they might be. The goodbye scene between Hunter and Morgan was a heart jerker. I really felt for Morgan, even though it was in Hunter's pov.

He travel's to Quebec, Canada to find his father. When he finds him, his idea of what he would look like and what he actually looks like is greatly More...

While this was still a good addition to the series it was a little different because it was told from Hunter's point of view and had little mention even of Morgan.
Hunter leaves Widows Vale to find his father who he has not seen since he was 8 (his father and mother left running from the dark wave). The Council has finally given him an address for him and he is looking forward to seeing both his parents. However, wehn he gets there he makes several upsetting discoveries. First, his mother d More...

3 1/2 stars. This 10th book in the series is told from Hunter's perspective and takes place away from all the other characters in the series, as Hunter seeks his parents and is called to do council business. This installment does a lot to advance the plot and introduce new characters. It also lets us get to know Hunter on a more personal level but I missed the folks at home. I am looking forward to his returning to Widow's Vale to see how the events of this book will play out.

I read this book in one day, as I usually do with books like these and it was overall great, but boring in some parts.

I particularly loved how it was in Hunter's pov instead of Morgan's, that made it much more interesting to read because I could see how attracted he was to Morgan(and his constant remarks about her ruggedness...lol) and made me appreciate their relationship more even though in my head I'm Cal and Morgan forever and I'll stop hoping that Tiernan would kill him off and More...

This book "Seeker" in the sweep series was one of my favorite books in the series also. This book is one of my favorites because it is written in my favorite characters point of view. So i enjoyed reading from his point of view because normally it is not written in his point of view... so i liked it...a lot...

MY FAVORITE one besides the 3rd book, Blood Witch. This book is in Hunter's view. Hunter is Morgan's true love, her soulmate. I love this and it shows how Hunter truly feels in his relationship with Morgan. Yay!!!!

I didn't really enjoy this one as much as the others. In my opinion the storyline wasn't as exciting- probably because it didn't have much hunter-morgan romance. I think it could have been cut down quite a bit- it might have been more effective as a sub-plot in one of the other books.

I still can't wait to read the rest though!

This book was written from Hunter's perspective rather than Morgan with little BOS entries from Morgan. As Hunter heads up to Canada and is finally reunited with his father he is struggling with the fact that his mother passed away a mere 2 months earlier at Yule and his father is a shell of the man he remembers. Towards the end of the book Hunter is sent on a Seeker mission which threatens to harm his relationship with Morgan and as he comes face-to-face with a powerful and seductive blood wi More...

This was an interesting book, different from the others as this one is written from Hunter's point of view, it really lets us get to know him better.

With this book I really feel sorry for Hunter. He hero worshiped his dad and the man he finds after so long is about as far from a hero as possible. While working on his job as a Seeker he encounters a woman who seems normal, but hiding a lot. And in order to do his job he has to be a bit cruel. I have a feeling that this one job is More...

I don't understand these books where a couple is in love and the girl wants to have sex, but the boy says no. It's confusing and unrealistic.

Shifting away from Morgan, this story is told through Hunter's eyes. A little stale, still a page turner but not as good as the earlier books in series!
