Like the song goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet"- the same goes for this series. After the previous volume Morgan has learned what the repercussions are for doing evil magic & that the punishment is far worse than anything that she could have imagined.

As the story progresses we see that someone is making a very rigorous attempt to kill Morgan & Hunter, and that someone is using non-magical means to do so! (Very clever since obviously they'd have detected magical interferen More...

And so the plot thickens, where evil meets good and the two are confused, mixed up and jumbled. I can't even begin to imagine what I would do if I was in Morgan's situation, however when I think about it, I suppose we can all connect because we have all been in situations similar to this. I loved the way that the author worked on the relationship between Hunter and Morgan in this book because it was slow and showed how it was a sort of hate love relationship. This felt like a much more real base More...

Okay, so heres the deal. I didnt know that the covers on books 1-6 were re-makes. I ordered books 7-15 at the customer service desk at B&N's, and when I got them I was dissapointed to see that the covers were different, and the books were also in various sizes.

I havent read any since book 6. I contacted the company that redid the covers, and they said they have no immediate plans to redo the rest of the covers in the series.

Sad.

The first 2-3 books in this series are addictive, a fresh "modern-teen" POV in the tired genre of witches/kids with supernatural powers finding themselves (and the wonder of Wicca) among families/communities who "don't get it".

After #3, it goes downhill. There is no psychological development of the main characters (and the secondary characters are quite shallowly described and hard to distinguish throughout the series; even the more promising and believable ones, B More...

Today's review is on Spellbound by: Cate Tiernan

Spellbound is the 6th book in Cate Tiernan's Sweep series

During the regularly scheduled circle time of Cirrus, Morgan finds that Sky and her coven Kithic are also there. Hunter and Sky have decided it would be a good idea to combine their two covens. In doing so, there would be 13 members in total. When this option is presented to the members of both covens, Morgan steps up and says that she feels it is a good idea.

Video of me ranting about this book? It can be found HERE. Full, written review is further down below...

In a nutshell: Hunter and Morgan are tip-toeing around their relationship, which has definitely become something more than Wiccan acquaintances. Not much plot, but more dealing with Morgan learning more about how to harness her powers, learning more about Wicca and investigate who is it that seems to be after Hunter.

Although this got really repetitive in both Awakening More...

Cal is backkkkkkkkkkk!! Selene is backkkkkkkk!! Oh boy, oh boy!! Not only is Cal back, but he's back to reclaim Morgan! He's still in love with her and has NOW left his mother Selene's side, in order to go back and help keep Morgan safe. Or has he? Can Morgan over come the feelings that she once had for Cal, in order to see the truth in all that is around her? Can she finally let go of Cal, and do what she has to do, in order to stop Selene and the black magic that she's threatening to unleash, More...

I bought the bound volumes I and II. I couldn't remember what happened in each book so could't write reviews without knowing what book i was referring to. So this review is based on volumes one and two. Cate Tiernan made a believable heroine coming into her power and her life as a whole. I loved how Morgan didn't dwell on her looks like a lot of cinderalla type chracters who find themselves transformed into a stroger person in power or in beauty or both. She was a plain Jane and felt self c More...

Wow this was the most violent one yet. Poor Morgan - she's still the target of both Cal and Selene. She's learning all she can about magick and how to protect herself but will it be enough to defeat the super powerful (and evil) Selene?

Morgan and Hunter are taking their budding relationship real slow which is a change (and a good one) from her whirlwind romance with Cal. I'm off to the library for book 7.

Morgan is still struggling to control her powers and understand her betrayal by Cal. She is learning more about wicca, the good and the bad. Hunter is preparing her for a battle they both know is coming. Will she be ready?

These books are just so much fun. I feel like I know these kids. So far Tiernan has been very true to her world and is keeping it believable. Best lunch books ever!

This book really bothered me. Have you never heard of poltergeists? Teen angst pent up causing things to fly? I wonder who it is... maybe if you were a little less self involved and could see beyond the end of your own nose, Morgan, you would have figured out this big mystery! Duh! I knew what was going on just a few chapters in, like everyone else.

This is by far one of my favorite series of books. The more I read about Morgan and her life the more it makes me want to read them. This book is probably my favorite by far because Hunter has always seemed better for Morgan than Cal was. Just knowing going into this book that he was going to be more of a major character peaked my interest.
You learn more about Morgans parents and how Maive and Angus died in this book. Also, the journal entries that begin each chapter are taken from Se More...

I felt there was less action in this book, and I was missing that dying need to read the next book immediately. Most of the book was consumed with repetitions from previous books, telling every detail all over again.

Wonderful plot twists and trust remains a big issue. In the end, the Cal/Selene cycle is wrapped up. I am enjoying this series as much, if not more than the ‘Twilight series’. After all ‘Sweep series’ did come first. I may be an adult but it is so refreshing to read books that have been researched so well and are not trashy
