So. The Immortals, number five. Second-to-last in the series. Ever and Damen's story is almost over. Almost time for Tubby-by-bye.

Who gives a flying fuck?

Fuck this motherfucking shit and the fucking the pages it was printed on.

OMG THANK GOODNESS THAT'S OVER.

Oh LAWD, this series just it doesn't stop being dumb.

What am I saying, this is The Immortals series. At least this book didn't misuse Wicca, because that damn Hekate thing was going to make me choke a muggle.

Alright, new book, same shit. Ever and Damon still can't have sex with one another, but they manage to have chaste kisses in the memories in their past lives. In the mean time, they are dealing with Haven who [s More...

Meh... I'm beginning to seriously hate these books. Not that the first 4 were amazing, but the first one wasn't bad... then they all go downhill from there IMHO. How long is the author going to drag out this Ever can't touch Damon crap? I mean, geesh!! Give it a rest already!! As if them being able to touch will automatically create this happily ever after ending we've all been waiting for. It's getting completely ridiculous!

So once again, Ever sees something from her past that More...

Let's play a drinking game...
Every time you see the words "tingle and heat," take a swig. I guarantee you'll be plastered by the time you finish the book in one sitting. We get it, your boyfriend makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Move the hell on.

If you're not wasted by this point, go ahead and throw in another shot for every cheesy mention of a red tulip. If you're not three sheets by now, you have a heartier constitution than I.

I don't want to waste too much More...

Dear Alyson Noel during this book I’ve felt like you tried so hard to keep us interested in what you are writing, unfortunately, You failed, big time.
This book is boring really truly boring and the fact that I have to somehow find a way to finish it is utter torture “I never change my habits and one of them is to never give up on a book and not finish it” so here I am trying to finish the 200 pages that are left ,not much huh?!!
Btw I kept on reading the words “make no mistake ever” t More...

I'm still not a fan of this series, I just keep reading it, because I started it. And I wouldn't recommend it ot a friend. I can't describe it excactly why but I always have the feeling, that it is annoying, the whole plot and most of the characters. the only two characters I like are Jude and Miles, but they are not so often mentioned in the book. The story about Damen and Ever is sometimes really boring and I just can't feel with them, also the part with summerland -> that's keeping rolling More...

I actually found myself liking this book so much better than the last one. I’ve read some mixed reviews on here and I don’t feel that they are all right. Mostly I’ve heard that there has not been even a tiny bit of resolution in the story line. Well that’s not really true while they still don’t have the antidote some things have progressed. I think Ever has finally started acting like an adult. Although it happened almost halfway through the book it was still a big step forward. What I fa More...

***SPOILER ALERT!***

First of all, this is the most slow paced book ever. No excitement, no nada. Okay so, Ever discovers that she was a slave in one of her past lives, who lost who family in a fire, and who was her hero? Damen. He rescued her by buying her, by later going back to try and buy her family. Little did he know that Roman snuck in the night a light the place in flames. Jude, who was also part of the salved family, decides to give it a go and try to win her back. Which, like More...

This one was better than the last but even so only by a tiny bit.

I hated Haven from the start, what a bitch. I wanted her gone ever since she became an immortal. She is annoying... Not to mention self centered. (ALLL OF THE TIME!)

*Makes sarcastic surprised face* Who knew that Ever would doubt Damen again>? I hate how she finally says yes I trust him and then one tiny thing, any bit of unknown information that he hasnt shared with her and she jumps ship. Right back to More...

This book is a repeat of the last one. It is the same f*&^ing plot with a different f*@#ing bad guy. There are very few changes from the last 4 plots to this one. The only character that seemed to change at all from the last two books was Haven. And she made a drastic complete unrealistic 180. Noel's attempt to change Miles failed. The only thing that she changed for him was his looks. This book is boring and too many times repeated from the second book to now. Save your time and stop rea More...

I was really hesitant about starting this book. I liked the first book in the series but from that point forward I wasn't very excited about the way it turned out.
Anyway, after seeing that the series were finally complete I decided to try the next book just to see where it would go... So, not great but not that bad either. I can't say that this book was a surprise but it was nice enough for me to finish it.
I don't know if I'm gonna read the next one any time soon but if I do it will be More...

I am surprised at the negative reviews for this book. Trust me, I LOVED Evermore, completely HATED the 2nd book, "Blue Moon" and almost just stopped there. I'm glad I didn't, because after that 2nd book in the series, it really did get better from there.

This 5th installment of the Immortals series left me with hope. We start the book off with Ever and Damen training for the fight that they know is coming with Haven. After Jude killed off Roman in book 4, Haven is on the ra More...

I mean come on, I could give it zero stars. I have never EVER read a series so ridiculously redundant in all my years of reading. Get over it already, honestly, an author that CAN write well should never EVER produce something so hideous. It's so disappointing when an author shows you she can write and develop a good story line (e.g. Evermore & Blue Moon, maybe even Shadowland) and characters and then puts on such a horrible display of mediocrity. It's a disgrace to her abilities. Maybe somethin More...

I could have skipped this book and read the next installment and still be at the same place. I was so disappointed with Night Star.

Haven was annoying. I could not stand even reading her lines because I just wanted to kick rocks at her. (LOL) But seriously speaking, Haven in so angry that she won't listen to her ex-best friend. Like grow up, figure out what really happened and try to work it out. All I am saying is that usually I feel bad when a character gets the axe but I was happy More...

In the 5th installment in the Immortal series by Alyson Noel entitled Night Star, immortal is pitted against immortal as Ever’s former best friend Haven plots to take her down. Though Ever was not directly responsible for Roman’s death, Haven has heaped the blame on her and will stop at nothing to see to it that Ever and Damen do not find a way to be together.

But if Ever discovers the secret that Damen has been hiding from her the last few centuries, she may not want anything to do w More...

Night Star

Night Star by Alyson Noel is the 5th book in the immortal series and is by far the best. The protagonist of the story, Ever, is preparing herself for a battle between her ex best friend, Haven who is the antagonist of the story and herself. Ever knows that this fight is either life or death. Haven h More...

Ever and Damen are still trying to figure out how to solve their little problem—and, damn it, they’re on this same page since Blue Moon, this is kind of getting old! On the other hand, they need to deal with the Haven situation—Ever knows Haven coming after her, it’s just a matter of time.

Haven is a pain in the neck, I must say. I’ve never really liked her character, she was neve More...

Initially, I wasn’t going to finish this series which is fairly rare for me. Evermore was fantastic! Blue Moon was great and then it all went downhill from there. I was so frustrated with the main character’s absolute lack of growth not to mention the fact that the author constantly threw a character driven wrench that was just to convenient--whether it be [. ..] doing something incredibly stupid repeatedly throughout the books or the author writes Ever into multiple conversations and just cho More...

I’ve always loved The Immortals series. I read the first book—Evermore—at the end of my eight-grade year, and fell in love with Alyson Noel’s writing, her characters, and the way she told a story. I’ve loved getting to continue on with the story as I’ve gotten older (ain’t no eight-grader anymore, suckas!).
Night Star opens with Ever and Damen, practicing they’re super-fly immortal-thingy powers. Ever has to kill Haven, and she needs all the preparation time she can get. With Haven b More...

I liked this one better than some of the previous entries in the series. Haven was a very good villian. I was glad I could finally hate her actually. Before, she was annoying and bitchy but you felt sorry for her because of her home life. This book gives you permission to hate her, especially at the end. Haven as a villian was something the series needed. There are some frustrating parts including Sabine's inability to believe Ever and Ever's 'revelation'. <spoiler>I mean, really???!!!! Yo More...

As vague, non-spoilery backstory, Ever and her boyfriend Damen are immortal. He turned her immortal after a car accident killed her (her parents and sister also died, but Damen was able to bring Ever back because she hadn’t fully crossed over). They’ve been in love for several lives, but she always died unexpectedly. (There’s a reason for that, but that comes up in an early book.) They’ve overcome several obstacles to be/stay together, but in Night Star, they face possibly the toughest battl More...
