I was looking for a guide to increase my walking distance, as a part of my weight loss program. My Family Physician recommended this book, and I'm glad I picked it up.

Perhaps people don't think they need a book to learn how to walk? Well, sure, to walk a little, and to go around the block to the store, or if you are already fit. Then maybe not. But what if your goals are different? What if this is part of a physical recovery program, or you want to walk competitively, say up to 30km?
