Ann Mcsweeney
This is the best hiking book for New England. I own quite a number of hiking books, but this is my go-to one. It has very easy icons to indicate both the level of difficulty and the quality of the view. So it is easy to pick appropriate hikes quickly. I own two editions, but keep the old one to keep the notes that I have made. The AMC White Mountain Guide is comprehensive but no where near as easy to use as this book.
