Kerrelyn Sparks never falls to make me laugh, I love this series. Eat Pray Love is the same as all of her books fun and sexy. I was very pleased how Carlos and Caitlyn found each other and the adventure they had together. I loved the emotions between the two lost sisters and I hope to get to read about the brother one day, I don't know about the rest of you but I think he needs a female vampire. It would be nice to see all of the Whelan siblings all together. Maybe that will help dear old dad co...more

Oh man what a book!

As soon as it was said that Shanna's sister Caitlyn Whelan was going to be in this book I knew that there was going to be excitement and drama. Why? Because Caitlyn was clueless to the Vamp and Shifter life, and her father was bound to be around trying to stir up drama.

I was right!

Caitlyn is invited by Shanna to Tino's birthday party. Caitlyn had no clue that her long lost sister was married or had children. Their father warned Caitlyn to stay away, which only made Caitlyn...more

Although I enjoy Carlos and his playfulness I was not originally excited to read his story. Actually I was kind of annoyed that of all the women in the story it was Shanna's sister Sparks decided to use has his love interest. But I instantly connected with Caitlyn. I actually think I like her more then Shanna. She's smart and brave but girly and isn't trained in law enforcement like the previous heroines. She just felt real to me. Carlos is determined to continue his quest to find more Were-pant...more

Caitlyn is finally meeting her niece and nephew - her sister's children. Cait and her sister had been estranged for years, for reasons beyond both of their control. Now they're back together and Cait's taking a job with her company. There's definitely a bonus involved, but it's not money - it's Carlos Panterra. Cait knows as soon as she sees him that she is drawn to him beyond reason. But Cait gets the shock of her life - there is a whole new world she never knew about. While Cait and some of he...more

First of all, what's with the title? Eat Prey Love? It makes no sense - it has nothing to do with the story, as there is certainly no eating of prey going on, especially not in conjunction with love. I see the connection to the popular novel's title "Eat Pray Love," but ... ANYway ... The two main characters are certainly star-crossed enough for any formulaic romance novel, of course, but as the plot advances lots of plot elements get thrown in - and then thrown out the window ... the author app...more

I think this is exactly how Ms. Sparks got her groove back. I feel the same energy and love in this story as I did the first story and that is rare once you are so far in a series. I also apparently missed a book here (need to check my shelf) and I didn't feel out of the loop at all. Thank goodness. This book says "Hey, you should have been paying more attention so sexy--so not gay--Carlos all this time.

I adored Carlos and I adored Caitlyn in this story. They are almost opposites yet they are p...more

When I was given the opportunity to review Eat Prey Love I jumped at the chance, for two reasons. First reason, I am a fan of Kerrelyn Sparks, especially her Love at Stakes series, and second because I am always looking for good were-animal novels. I love all were-animals but there seems to be so many werewolves and not much of were bears, lions, tigers, and panthers.

Eat Prey Love is Carlos' story and he is a were-panther, so that was just what I was looking for. Just from reading the blurb I k...more

3.5 technically, but close enough to 4 stars.

I love Kerrelyn Sparks. There's obviously a cheesy aspect to these books, but they're funny and entertaining. I love all of the characters. Sparks has a man for everyone's fantasy: Scottish, French, Italian, South American... They're all sexy. Carlos, with his alpha male attitude doesn't disappoint. I read PNR for the flirting between the characters. I love the development of a relationship. Caitlyn just throws...more

I enjoyed Eat Prey Love. The main character, Caitlyn Whelen has just arrived back into the U.S. after being fired from the U.S Government for interfering with a human's rights issue in a foreign country. This humiliation does not sit well with Caitlyn's father who is the head of a CIA agency hellbent on trying to wipe out vampires from the face of the earth. After checking into a hotel, Caitlyn receives a birthday party invitation from her older sister, Shanna whom she has not had contact with i...more

Light, humorous and fun. Eat Prey Love will delight Kerrelyn Sparks fans and any reader looking for an entertaining ‘pick me up’ read. This paranormal romance is bursting with charming new characters and delightful returning characters that make it feel like one happy, if wild family to return to.

Ms. Sparks did a great job, this book was amazing.
I enjoyed it a lot and I couldn't stop reading it.
The story line was well put together.

This book is about Carlos Panterra and Caitlyn Whelan,
yes a were-panther and Shanna's human sister. I didn't
know what to make of it at first, I mean why it had
to be Shanna's sister. But afterwards, I started to
like her a lot, she's so bold and brave, good
personality and kind. I like her so much more than
Shanna. Carlos was so playful in this book and I

Eat, Prey, Love is Book 9 in Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake series. I was told that its ok to skip around in the series and I think I agree. I read the first couple of books, I took a break and then ended up reading this one. I really didn't feel like I was missing anything or confused in any way. Oh and by the way, I enjoyed the book!! LOL!!

In this installment, we meet Caitlyn Whelan. If you've read the first book, you'll remember that we were introduced to this world and to Shanna Whelan. Shan...more

Eat, Prey, Love tells the story of Carlos Panterra, a were-panther on a mission to find more of species, esepecially a mate; and Caitlyn, the younger sister of Shanna, who not only has the ability to understand and quickly learn and speak languages, but finds animals are drawn to her. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Not only did I enjoy Carlos and Caitlyn's characters, I also liked catching up w/ characters from her earlier books. Although it has been awhile since I've read a book in th...more

Quotes:
She lifted her head, clasped the gun with both hands, and took aim. Bam! She swayed back from the recoil, bumping against Carlos’s chest. He steadied her, holding her against him. The paper man shuddered with a hit.

“You did it!” Phineas ran up to the counter and pushed the button to activate the pulley that would slide the paper target close to them.

“Damn, woman.” Phineas gave her a horrified look. “Remind me never to make you angry.”

WOW!!

That was fun!!

Have you been stuck in a rut reading only dramatical stuffy romances?

Need something that will improve your mood and get your laughing?

Well, then do I have the book for you!

When I first looked at the cover for "Eat, Prey, Love" I seriously thought it was going to be all dramatic and maybe a bit stuffy but the cover looked hawt enough to read.
(Note: Greta will judge a book but it's cover)

After reading a chapter I came to the realization that it was funny.

With lines like:

Eat Prey Love (Love at Stake, #9)Eat Prey Love by Kerrelyn Sparks is the 9th installment in the Love at Stakes series. This book features were-panther, Carlos Panterra and mortal younger sister to Shanna Draganesti, Caitlyn. This book picks up immediately after Robby and Olivia's book, The Vampire and the Virgin.

First thought... What do you mean Carlos isn't gay?? That's right, the fun-loving, olive-skinned, gorgeous gay man introduced in Ian and Toni's book, All I Want For Christmas is a Vampire has officially come out of the...more

It was good, but the dialogue sounded forced for a good portion of the book, as well as the inner thoughts of the main characters. It sounded a little unrealistic and awkward, like the writer was trying to create this scene, but her heart wasn't in it, because there was something very off. The storyline itself was good, but a little lengthy, using two-thirds of the book to set up and strengthen the characters and shoving a lot of information and interaction within 'three days time'. A little too...more

What an Adventurous book!.. I think this book was one of the best ones in the series. Caitlyn. Shanna's sister. I was surprised!.. She is not like her sister at all. She accepts everything easily and Most of all.. her psychic powers are cool. I definitely want to be like her..A Linguist.. Who can understand any language in a few minutes. Am amazed. Meeting the other shifters was something. And this new Were-tiger. I cannot wait to see his character more personally. And Catalina turned into were-...more

Caitlyn Whelan never believed in vampires and things that go bump in the night. She's about to get a crash course when after reuniting with her sister Shanna against their parents' wishes, she finds out that vampires at least are real. And her sisters husband happens to be one of the undead. She decided to join their organization and help them hunt bad vampires, also known as Malcontents, instead of joining her Dad's secret CIA team that hunts good AND bad vampires. Carlos Panterra is drawn to...more

At the first I expected a lot of excitement and adventure but then I was disappointed. I found it just a sexy story and nothing else.

Specially at the last captures the story line gets worse.

There is no Malcontent even in the cave in Thailand, the Temple of Death.
they just found a Major who is in coma for more than forty years and the reason is childish: The bad vamp have forgotten him completely!!
All of the good vamp come around to save his life but then nothing. The Major has no more role in t...more

This is the first book by Kerrelyn Sparks I've read, and I guess it won't be the last, because I loved it. It had humor, it had romance, it had vampires, shape-shifters, suspense, hot lovin', suspense, and drama.

But what struck me most of all—I didn't hate the heroine. I loved her to bits, actually (though her I'm-not-good-enough fears grew a little tiresome). Who needed some screws tightened in this story was the hero with all his I-want-her-but-can't-have-her, I-have-to-save-my-race-even-if-I-...more

This was my first book in the series, and I really enjoyed it. It was light, the two characters had some serious chemistry, and I respected both of them, him for his devotion to the children, and her for her open mindedness and strength. She didn't just jump into any scary or dangerous situation, but she didn't shy away either. She also wouldn't stand for any of his "mate" nonsense; she thought he was hot, and he clearly thought she was gorgeous since his eyes glowed each time he looked at her....more

Kerrelyn Sparks is the New York Times bestselling author of a series that mimics its sexy heroes by refusing to die. Now up to book twelve, the Love at Stake series spreads laughter worldwide in thirteen different languages. In spite of a tendency to nibble on necks or howl at the moon, Kerrelyn’s vampire and shapeshifter heroes are still wonderfully romantic.

“I'll talk to him before I go," Carlos grumbled.
"And what about the girls?" Toni asked. "They need you, Carlos."
"They need a mother!" Carlos yelled. "And I need a mate."
Caitlyn gasped. Hes was looking for a mate? What kind of mate? His gaze shifted towards her, and his eyes glittered with a hard, angry look.
"You--what?" Toni stepped back, apparently stunned.
"You heard me," Carlos growled.
"Ye want to get married?" the Scotsman asked.
"Don't look so shocked, Ian. Didn't want you want to get married?"
"Aye, but--"
"You can't get married," Toni declared. "You're gay."
Caitlyn snorted. Were they crazy?
Carlos glared at her in the shadows, then shifted his gaze to Toni. "I never said I was gay."
"Of course you're gay," she insisted. "I saw you dance the samba in a hot pink sequined thong."
Carlos shrugged. "So? You said I was very sexy. You were practically drooling."
Ian stiffened. "When was this?"
"Before I met you," Toni muttered.”

“There's no bright side," Phineas objected. "The man's got no gonads."
"But she hit the target," Carlos said.
"The man has got no gonads," Phineas repeated forcefully.
"It was an accident." Caitlyn set her gun on the counter. "I was aiming for his chest."
"You blew his pecker to Connecticut," Phineas muttered.
She grinned. "I think you have issues, Phineas. It was only a paper pecker.”
