Yes, the real and imagined settings of Faith are populated with flora and fauna (bottlenose dolphins, eucalyptus, wisteria), but the speaker is our focus and hero, even when the intended hero, arriving on the scene in a poem titled "History," is ineffectual. Faith spoke to me in a way that a collection of poems hasn't in a long long time. I felt positively compelled to close my eyes and allow the imagery and emotions to sweep over me. I treasured every word. Words are powerful in a way that pictures are not, and this collection is proof that this is true. I feel alive and inspired to bring my own words to life again after my experience here.

I won this book on Goodreads. Unfortunately, I found the author's poems quite obscure, without meaning for me.
