Annie Hall

I am a lot naive when it comes to the legacy and oeuvre of Woody Allen , having seen only 1 movie of his , Vicky Christina Barcelona, but had definitely heard a lot about Annie Hall , as one of the definitive films of that era. Reading the script justifies it so. The wit, bitter-sweet romance, and wry, nonchalant humor just made reading the script feel like gliding through it. It was a delicious and crunchy treat for its realistic take on modern-day relationships and of course, the adorable neuro...more
This is my first incursion into reading scripts or movie adaptations, and though I am not always satisfied with the films of Woody Allen, Annie Hall is one of my favorites from this director.

“I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable.”
