I am a lot naive when it comes to the legacy and oeuvre of Woody Allen , having seen only 1 movie of his , Vicky Christina Barcelona, but had definitely heard a lot about Annie Hall , as one of the definitive films of that era. Reading the script justifies it so. The wit, bitter-sweet romance, and wry, nonchalant humor just made reading the script feel like gliding through it. It was a delicious and crunchy treat for its realistic take on modern-day relationships and of course, the adorable neuro...more

This is my first incursion into reading scripts or movie adaptations, and though I am not always satisfied with the films of Woody Allen, Annie Hall is one of my favorites from this director.

The story revolves around a couple... Alvy Singer and Annie Hall, which is far from the typical romantic comedy couple, they focus more on the conflicts and differences that occur with each other than in the romantic moments.

The narrative takes us between the ruptures and reconciliations, analyzing how the c...more

Annie Hall being one of my long-standing favourite movies, it was only natural I 'had to' read the script. What can I say - a real stunner!

I think the script is better than the film. but these days when I see the movie or when I read the script, they seem old to me.

Woody Allen (born Allen Stewart Königsberg) is a three-time Academy Award-winning American film director, writer, actor, jazz musician, comedian and playwright. His large body of work and cerebral film style, mixing satire, wit and humor, have made him one of the most respected and prolific filmmakers in the modern era. “I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable.” 665 people liked it
